Pediatric Optometry & Vision Care
Pediatric Optometry and Vision Care is a practice dedicated to high quality eye care for infants, children, adolescents and in limited cases, adults who require specialized care. The demand on our children's eyes is higher than ever. An eye exam that is only evaluating a child's ability to see the letters on an eye chart is missing many crucial elements.

Most notably, how well the eyes work together to focus, follow and track during reading, writing and other near tasks. We provide comprehensive pediatric eye exams as well as specialized care for binocular vision deficiencies and other visual disturbances caused by Traumatic Brain Injury (concussion).
Services
Dr. Christine Squeri has dedicated her academic and professional career exclusively to pediatric optometry. For over 15 years, parents have depended on Dr. Squeri to provide specialized eye care for children from infants to teens. Her practice is passionate about bringing a new level of eye care to the community for the many families in the area who are looking for a pediatric optometrist they can trust.
Eye and eye care information recommended by pediatric optometrists and pediatric ophthalmologists in the Greater New York area and across the nation. Pumpkins are not only good for carving and baking pies, but they're also good for your eyes. Scientists have found a more effective treatment for a common childhood eye muscle coordination problem called convergence insufficiency (CI).
Our website provides info regarding common eye health conditions that may require specialized care, vision therapy for children or adults with strabismus, convergence insufficiency, or amblyopia performed by an experienced pediatric optometrist / developmental optometrist. If your child is having headaches and eye strain when reading and focusing on near tasks, they should first have a comprehensive eye exam.
During a comprehensive eye exam, your child will be evaluated to determine the presence of any refractive error and/or medical conditions. A comprehensive Eye Exam entails an array of tests to evaluate the health and overall visual function of one's eyes. It will also include a refraction. A refraction is a group of tests that are performed to determine the need for an optical correction to improve clarity of vision at distance, near or both.
Every visit to Pediatric Optometry & Vision Care is a personalized experience. Dr. Squeri has dedicated her practice to caring for children and will customize each visit to your child's age, abilities, and specific needs. She will personally devote her time and attention to you and your child in a cheerful, child-friendly office environment.

I took both my children for their first full eye exam with Dr. Squeri. She is extremely thorough, professional and spent a great deal of time giving each of my children a comprehensive exam. I highly recommend Dr. Squeri and her practice!
