Dana Judice, a native from Loreauville, Louisiana, was born in the 60's to a large family. Dana learned throughout his childhood that despite being surrounded by a large family, a person could feel alone.
During his childhood, his father remained aloof and this distance filtered into Dana's own psyche leaving him to wonder, "What's wrong with me?" After spending years away from family, as suggested by a therapist he was seeing, he began to realize sometimes people's actions did not fit their heart. Sometimes people respond in the only manner they know how.

During the years I spent counseling school age children, a vast majority were either neglected, fatherless, or just confused about their existence, often wondering whether they were truly loved and important. Having spent my own childhood with feelings of insecurity and not always feeling like I belonged, I never wanted another child to feel abandoned and alone in a big world that too often is cold and cruel.
