I am a 2003 graduate of the master's program in counseling at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and have an undergraduate degree in Education from the University of Southwestern Louisiana.
I have over 17 years experience in working with children, adolescents, and families. I began my career as an elementary school teacher and was voted Teacher of the Year during that time. I also served as a Nationally Certified School Counselor in Lafayette Parish.

Counseling is a process in which you, your child, and I, the Licensed Professional Counselor, having established a trusting relationship, will work together to explore and define presenting problems, develop future goals, and systematically work together in realizing those goals to gain an improved life.
The Association for Play Therapy defines play therapy as "the systematic use of a theoretical model to establish an interpersonal process wherein trained play therapists use the therapeutic powers of play to help clients prevent or resolve psychosocial difficulties and achieve optimal growth and development."
These Ten-Session groups are for girls in grades 3-8. They are designed to give girls an opportunity for personal growth in the following areas: developing emotional intelligence, increasing self-confidence and self-esteem, developing a positive body image, communication skill-building, assertiveness, coping skills for relational aggression, conflict-resolution, developing and maintaining healthy friendships, decision-making, and managing stress.
The Circle of Security Parenting program began in 1998 and is based on decades of research about how secure parent-child relationships can be supported and strengthened. It is an internationally recognized early intervention program that increases attachment and security developed by Glen Cooper, Kent Hoffman, and Bert Powell.
