After graduating from Cal State Northridge in 1983, Dean joined World Savings in 1984. During his tenure, Dean was active in business development at the Company. In 1988, he pioneered World's Wholesale Lending Division and was responsible for developing their proprietary Preferred Mortgage Broker Training Program.

I'm writing this review a full 12 months after closing on my house using DEBBIE as my loan officer. I was in a pinch, I needed a big loan funded within 22 days, my bank offered me 300k under what I needed and I was referred to Debbie just prior pulling out of escrow. Debbie WORKED hand in hand with my agent (another awesome businesswoman who i'd highly recommend) and she took so many calls of mine always putting me at ease. I wish that I could give Back Bay Funding a 5+ stars. They are absolutely the BEST!!!
Several months ago, my family and I were in a tough spot and needed to get a reverse mortgage. My mom was having a hard time coming up with the $4000 rent each a month for my father's Board and Care (he has advanced Parkinson's Disease,) and was really worried how she was going to pay the bills. Thank God we called Dean and all the great folks over at Back Bay Funding!!! I can honestly say that they saved us!

This was a waste of time. Commercial loan, 8 units, the bank BBF set me up with wanted huge percentage rate, and the additional 350k (after payoff of existing loan had to go into the lending bank account somewhere in San Diego. Oh great, I have 4 tenants who always pay cash. And the account was to be kept as my operating account. I live near Los Angeles. . The lender I finally went to wants 6 % less interest rate and does not require a watchdog account. All that paperwork and the loan offered was very disappointing.

We were in a sticky situation- selling a house- wanting to purchase a new home, all while my husband was in the process of changing jobs...feedback from a different lender was pretty negative & depressing. My husband and I decided to sell our home in the Bay area and move to SoCal last year. After an almost 40 year stay, this was a huge adjustment. We wanted to down size to a condo, and wanted to be by the beach. We didn't think our financial situation would afford this. A horror story!
In December 2014, I called Back Bay Funding, Irvine, CA. I wanted a refinance to lower my PMI.
I was assigned to Vance Luedtke who took all my information and started working on my loan. A few weeks later he called and said he couldn't get me a conventional loan and would I like to just refi and lower my PMI? You can imagine that conversation. Vance then worked on a refi and after a few weeks and many phone calls, asking for additional information he finally sent the loan documents. My PMI was lowered, my rate was lowered but my PAYMENT was higher!! This is when I called
