Hawks, Besler, Rogers & Stoppel and our entire team are committed to providing advanced vision care in a professional and comfortable environment. Our primary eye care services include a complete eye exam that analyzes eye health and vision function. In addition to eye exams and vision testing, we provide testing for glaucoma, cataracts and macular degeneration.
The first month in business I saw only one patient with charges of $187.00. Needless to say at that rate it took quite some time to build a busy practice. Thanks to great staff members such as Connie Baum, who has been our contact lens manager for 35 years, and Drs. Besler, Rogers and Stoppel we have developed a practice with the technology and dedication that allows us to provide the type of quality eyecare that every patient deserves.
We strive to provide comprehensive, primary eye care for the whole family. Preventative and routine eye exams are important to maintaining good eye health. Often, eye and vision problems do not have obvious symptoms or signs, but are easily diagnosed by a licensed optometrist. The thing I enjoy most about each experience at Drs Hawks, Besler, Rogers & Stoppel is how well I feel treated by everyone I come in contact with. Whether the ladies at the front desk, the technicians running their battery of tests, Dr. Rogers pleasant bedside manner, or the helpfulness of the opticians I know I am being well taken care of.

Myself and two younger children just visited Dr. Stoppel for our first full eye exams in a very long time. I was really impressed by how great they were with my kids, how thorough the exam was, the extra care they took to explain everything to us, and by the advanced equipment they have in their office. It turns out my youngest needs glasses so I am so glad we came in and that we are getting the best eye care!

I had a great eye exam with Dr. Stoppel today and the whole process went very smoothly. He is my husband's and my eye doctor and we're glad to have found an excellent eye clinic in overland park. The reception staff is warm and courteous and they also have a selection of glasses to choose from. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone who needs eye care.

Dr. Rogers is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He provides a thorough examination while explaining everything very clearly. He helped me with a dry eye problem due to a pregnancy symptom as well as when my eyes changed again postpartum. I highly recommend him to everyone! Anyone that I recommend him to has always commented on his greatness!

I had a great exam today with Dr. Stoppel..I have always had a good experience and quality care in this office. Picking out glass frames was not a good experience today and I had to leave and will try and reschedule another time. When picking out frames I appreciate

The eye doctors are OK but the office staff leaves much to be desired. I ordered contacts for both of my children and waited and waited and waited for a phone call. No call. So I finally called them 3 weeks after I ordered them and the contact lens person, who is usually never in the office to take a call, told me she left a message 2 weeks ago. I asked what number they called and they gave me some number that is not a correct phone number, nor has it ever been. I had left my number to be called when the contacts were in but I guess that was just too much trouble to take note of. So my children

If you have to go to the eye doctor and get glasses this is the place to do it. I was able to get an appointment the very next day and my entire appointment only took 40 minutes. I spent about half of that time with Dr. Stoppel and he explained everything very clearly and professionally. Im no expert but the equipment looked new and the people working there were no nonsense yet very friendly. It was painless and covered by my insurance. A+!

I've been a patient of Dr. Besler for 20 years. Recently I ordered new eyeglasses. It took over 6 weeks to receive the glasses, which was not good. It normally takes about two weeks for glasses to be delivered. However the office manager kept me updated on the reason for the delays and the status of my order. She also worked on my behalf to get a refund on the lenses, since it took so long. I didn't even have to complain. It was a positive experience, from the examination to the delivery of my glasses. I definitely recommend them to anyone. Very professional people there.

I got LASIK some years back so I haven't been inside the familiar confines of an optometrist for years. Given that I had worn glasses since the 4th grade until I was 27 - I wasn't eager to return.
But then I got an infection in my eye and I figured an optometrist would be the place to go. I got a same-day appointment, super friendly service, and a great visit. Two weeks later on the follow up I got the same experience.

So far, so good. I went online to get information about the doctors and was pleased. They offer online requests for appointments. I'm glad that this office has moved away from the traditional phone requests for an appointment and have embraced technology. This, for me, speaks volumes. I'm looking forward to an electronic response to my request and having my eyes evaluated.

Had a great experience with Dr. Hawks. Both of my grade-school aged kids have annual eye exams with him and he is great with both kids and parents. He's very specific when explaining what is happening with their eyes and is very attentive to questions and needs. Staff and team in the office are great as well.

I just had a friend go to Dr. Stoppel for her regular eye exam and it turns out that her previous eye doctors had been giving her a prescription that was too strong for her eyes. She recieved the same amazing treatment as I did and Dr. Stoppel was as cost conscious as he was with me and she says she'll always go back to that office.

Dr. Besler gave me my first pair of glasses when I was 10 years old, and I went to him for 12 years, until I graduated college and moved to the East Coast.
I miss Dr. Besler and his practice terribly and haven't found anything to measure up. Unlike chain optical stores, they seem to care more about your eyesight than how much money you're going to spend on contacts/glasses, and they don't have agreements with only one brand -- so you can find a lens that works for you. They're generous with samples if you realize you're running out of contacts and haven't had time

This is only my second eye doctor appointment as an adult, but it was just fabulous. I was hesitant to get an eye exam after a terrible, creepy appointment two years ago. But Dr. Hawks was the nicest, most professional optometrist I could have imagined. And I did need glasses for the first time in my life, but their staff made choosing a pair fun. I couldn't be happier with my experience.
