At Blue Valley Vision, each member of our vision care team is selected by Dr. Jayme Fose and Dr. Evan Strong, and Dr. Ken Bono based upon his or her experience, professional demeanor, and dedication to providing personalized care to our optometry patients. Dr. Jayme Fose is native to Kansas, born and raised in WaKeeney. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Chemistry from Fort Hays State University (Hays, KS) in 2003 and a Doctorate in Optometry at Southern College of Optometry (Memphis, TN) in 2007. Dr. Fose has been involved with the eye care industry since 2002.
Dr. Ken Bono was born and raised right here in Kansas City. He attended optometry school in Chicago. Dr. Bono opened his first practice almost 40 years ago in Atlanta, Georgia. He has been around the block opening his own practices and working for and with others. Dr. Bono is excited to be considered the new kid on the block working with Dr. Fose, Dr. Strong and the professional staff at Blue Valley Vision of Overland Park.
Dr. Sowash is a Kansas native who has a passion for building relationships with her patients and providing them with excellent care. She is a proud graduate of Benedictine College, where she received her degree in biologyand Spanish. She earned her optometry degree from Arizona College of Optometry in 2016 and moved to Colorado with her husband shortly after.

Highly recommend! Very nice and accommodating staff. The doctor did an excellent job at explaining my vision to me and even told me some things I’ve never seen before. They also performed something similar to an X-ray for your eye (sorry for forgetting the terminology) on me and it was rather fascinating. Not to mention - my favorite pair of glasses yet! Edit: The glasses I got from here are going strong at 2 years!

Went in for annual eye checkup and got billed for specialist visit. On further enquiry I was told that the advise Doctor gave me fell under specialist visit. I asked if the doctor should have spoken to me and I was told by the receptionist that Doctor has confirmed that my consent was taken. Although I insisted that I was informed about converting my annual visit to specialist visit, the receptionist insisted that it is not possible and when I asked to speak to the doctor, I was told that is also not possible. After several follow ups the specialist visit charge was dropped but the experience remains

2-3 years seeing Dr. Fosse and her team. They treat you with old-fashioned manners and respect. They are always happy to help. NEVER have they treated me rudely or as if I am a bother. I’m just blown away at their GREAT customer service! I moved to Lees Summit and still make the drive to see them. Highly recommend!

Blue Valley Vision is one of the friendliest office’s that I have ever experienced. The doctors are kind, take their time, and are genuinely interested in getting to know their patients. The front desk team is extremely knowledgeable, and always takes the time to find the best price for their clients. The assistants are patient, and take the time to explain every process. Every time I leave I remark on how amazing the service is!!!

This place is amazing. The front staff is so sweet. They remember me every time I come in and really make me feel at home. The doctors always make great recommendations and always get my prescription just right. Always clean and accommodating. They adjust my glasses as many times as I need. Plus last time I was there, I crushed my brand new glasses within hours of leaving. They helped me replace them so quickly! I actually moved to Lawrence and made the trip back just because I love the staff.
