Boston Senior Home Care is a private, non-profit organization that provides case management, service planning, and social support services to low-income persons who wish to remain in the community but require assistance to do so. Though the majority of the people we assist are over sixty years old, we offer services and supports for people as young as sixteen years old.
We also provide programs and education initiatives for those serving as caregivers and information about maintaining a healthy lifestyle and controlling chronic disease at any age. Services
We are proud of our organization, our staff, and the people we serve. We have been a part of the Boston Community for 40 years and we love what we do. Madelyn was a participant from a Healthy Eating Workshop in the Harvard Vanguard medical building in West Roxbury, MA. After meeting for 6 weeks she wanted to share the impact these workshops made in her life. As you watch the video you can see how Madelyn took control back in. Boston Senior Home Care provides care management and support services to low-income individuals, 60 years of age and older, and disabled individuals, 16 years of age and older, who wish to remain in their community but may require some assistance to do so. We also provide support services to those acting as caregivers and educational initiatives for those interested in controlling illness and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Boston Senior Home Care offers a wide range of programs and services to our clients. Each program addresses a different need and thus each has its own eligibility requirements. For the most part, eligible individuals must be 60 years old and over, or 16 years old and over with a disability. Home Care is an option that allows older adults the choice to age in place at home with the specified level of care they need for safety, comfort and independence. Simply described, home care means help with activities of daily living and household tasks. Boston Senior Home Care's Program provides a variety of services that can help you or your loved one maintain their independence and quality of life at home.

I hate working with Boston Senior Home Care case manager HUONG HA. She think she having a little education and that give her the right to degrading the elderly. Her demeanor toward the elderly is plain out RUDE and wretched! She made the elder feel SHAMEFUL for asking questions. Shame on her for picking on the elderly!

I have been working with a case manager and the nursing staff to secure services for elderly relatives in Boston. The case manager is fantastic. She is sincere and compassionate. She listens to client and family concerns and sees that all the appropriate services are provided stat. She is also wonderful at keeping me and my elderly relatives up to date on everything. The nurses are great, too- very caring, professional and patient. Employees have a great sense of humor and are infinately patient with my elderly relatives who respond to a simple 'yes' or 'no' question with a

BSHC is also the home of Boston Elder Info hot line which a local info clearing house on all elder services in Massachusettes ( free service) .
Some of the services it provides to low to moderate income seniors include: meals on wheels, personal care, homemakers, protective services, day care, advocacy, medical transportation and case management to name a few.
