It may be time to consider a nursing home when both medical and personal care needs have become too great to handle at home or in another senior living community. This may be due to a recent hospitalization, or a chronic illness which has gradually been worsening.

If your parent needs a higher level of care temporarily after a hospitalization and it's anticipated they will be able to return to home after a period of time, a nursing home may be the best answer for their recuperation. Our social and business offices will help you through the entire Medicaid application process.

If it were possible to give zero stars, I would. Mistreatment, endangerment, and neglect to the point of elderly abuse is the pitiful representation of "care" this facility has given our family member. The willful deprivation and failure to provide essential human care, abandon the prescribed treatment plan, and neglect to report health changes of an infirm family member by the staff continued even after family intervention and meetings with supervisors. I am not sure the Quirk family truly knows what goes on behind the doors of their facility; still, it is shameful to mistreat our Louisiana elderly

My mother was admitted here last November 2020. COVID was hindering my sister and I from visiting our mother on our time and anytime we wanted. We were required to set up an appointment to visit her and for only 30 min and had to be outside. We were not allowed to hug or kiss our own mother. Due to COVID we were told. We never even got to see her room. I got together several frames with pictures for her room and had to leave them with the lady in the front office. She was transported to Oschner and I met the shuttle van there. My mom was wearing a hospital gown and slipper socks!! Personnel at

We tried to call four times with two different phones They don’t answer the phone to let you know your love one is doing ok. I think that’s pretty pitiful when we pay the money we do For them to take care of them. l wouldn’t let them Yo Yo’s keep my Dog.

My Mother lived in this facility for over 5 years and the staff and management were both caring and competent. My Mother passed away recently but she had many friends at Golden Age which included staff and residents. No one likes to place their loved ones in a care facility, but I'm so grateful that Golden Age was there for my Mom and my family.

If I could give lower than 1 star it still too much!
My aunt was placed in this home 1 week ago. She is a 73lb 95 year old woman with some memory issues. After 4 days we were called and told she was getting kicked out due to WONDERING THE HALLS!
My aunt was trying to go home. Isnt a retirement home a place that keeps up after your eldery loved ones? Yes, this is the only reason they gave to kick her out. Upon gathering her things to place her elsewhere, we found soiled diapers in her armoir! Yes SOILED! Isnt this a health hazard?
Also, she was not given her daily medicine!!!
