We had been taking our cat to this animal hospital all her life. When she started faililing we called twice as what we were to do,(doctor out to lunch will call when she gets back) no call back, except 3 days later!
We ended up calling Castle Peak Vet Services, they advised us to bring her in right away. They were very kind, took us to a private room with her to talk about her condition. the decision was to put her to sleep.
She was 18 years old and one of my best friends.

I brought 3 of my dogs here over the five years I lived in Gypsum and always had a positive experience. The staff is friendly, kind, helpful, and I always felt comfortable with my animals there. The office is comfortable and calm. Dr. Sheldon and his staff have given vaccinations, multiple rounds of stitches for injuries (everything from dog fight wounds to a bird dog who rips himself open on barbed wire), teeth cleanings, bacterial infections, and more. They're a great team and I recommend them to anyone.

Clean teeth, trimmed nails and vaccinations are important for pet health maintenance. We very pleased with the care our border collie received at GAH. Though we're new patients, we were quickly registered into their system and records from our previous vet were added to the file. Every staff member we encountered worked well with the dog. We got a text message near the estimated time that he was coming out if it and we could come pick him up. Check out was quick, we got our doggy swag bag, and we were on our way. After a good night's sleep, he was back to his usual happy, healthy

Dr. Sheldon took extraordinary measures to keep my 14 year old dog alive. When I brought her in - she was unable to walk and had a neurological problem. Dr. Sheldon gave my dog shots and told me she would get better that her condition was senile vertigo. I went by the clinic after work and there was no improvement. My dog stayed in the clinic overnight for observation - There was no one in the clinic to observe my dog and the final night of her life. I called in the morning and asked how my dog was doing and asked that she be given not additional treatments without my approval. Dr. Sheldon called

I took my Shorthair Pointer in to Gypsum Animal Hospital for a few stitches and I was very impressed with the quality of care and service that the team here provided. We just moved to the area so it's always a little nerve racking to try and find a new vet. We will be sticking with Gypsum Animal Hospital for sure! They were able to get my pup in the same day and I was really blown away when they called the following day just to check in on how he was doing.
Very pleased!
