My wife, Jessica, and I found Baker Home Inspections by looking through Google Reviews. He seemed to have a good reputation so Jessica gave him a call.
Right off the bat, he was professional and exuded knowledge and confidence about his business. His price was very reasonable, as well.
Due to these two reasons, we decided to move forward with Jim as our inspector for our new home.
Jim was very accommodating and was able to work with our schedule.
He spent a couple hours at the property doing his inspection and upon completion, he was gracious enough to give us a call personally and explain

Jim Baker did an inspection for my upcoming 11-month walk through with my builder. He arrived on time and got straight to work. When he came into the house to inspect he explained what he was doing along the way. In the end he went over the few key issues he found and throughly explained each issue to me and the reasoning for them. He also gave me solutions for each issue to address with my builder. As a first time home buyer he really put my mind at ease that I made a good purchase. I highly recommend him to other buyers so they know they are making a good purchase too.

As a first time home buyer, Baker Home Inspection made the inspection process stress free. We got our report the same day as the inspection. The inspector walked me through his concerns over the phone and took his time answering my questions. I would recommend Baker Home Inspection to anyone needing an inspection done. My husband and I engaged Baker Home Inspection to inspect the house we are purchasing. Jim Baker was able to come out the next day, arrived promptly for our appointment, and proceeded with a very thorough inspection, including accesssing the roof, attic, and foundation. Jim is an excellent inspector. He communicates very well and conducts a very through inspection. I highly recommend you attend the inspection with him because he does a wonderful job of explaining deficiencies and providing context for Texas code. If you can't attend in person, his inspection report is extremely professional and even more through. He provides high quality photos, his observation of the photos, and recommendations for action. He provided the report of the inspection on the SAME DAY he conducted it!!! I couldn't be happier with the process and end product.

Jim was incredible to work with. He was able to fit my clients into his schedule quickly. He showed up on time and did a great job on the inspection. He was able to explain the good and bad features of the home to me and my client in terms we could understand. I received the inspection report same day. I made a request to schedule an appointment with Jim Baker for a mobile home in Canyon Lake. He got back to me the same day via email and we made the appointment for a few days later. I informed Mr. Baker that I could not be there when he started the inspection but would meet him there afterwards. He agreed and I met him at the home when the inspection was done.
Mr. Baker walked me through all the areas of concern and patiently answered all my questions both about the home as well as Canyon Lake in general. He was very honest, polite, and helpful.
