Excellent overall experience with Munster Med Inn. The 1st floor nursing staff, aids and social work staff went above and beyond to make sure my grandmother was fully taken care of had everything she needed. Everyone maintained a high level of professionalism and compassion at all times. They treated our family with dignity and respect. Our family can’t thank you all enough! Great job Jennifer and Rita especially, thanks for helping us through our difficult time!

My mom had to go here for a couple weeks following a hospital stay and they were great. Mom has Alzheimer's and they made sure she had all the care and support she needed and we're kind and patient with her. The social worker Jervai was amazing and very knowledgeable!

This establishment NEVER answers phones on the 3rd floor. Doesn't make any sense you can't answer your phones. I suppose that they don't have enough staff or their staff is busy hiding on their phones. I came to visit one day and the nurse was taking selfies at the desk. This place needs the state called on them!

I took my dad immediately out of another nursing home and places him here. The admissions staff was so kind & helpful. The man who runs the place even came out of his office and greeted me and showed his concern every time I had needed to address a concern. To be honest, everything wasn’t perfect but the kindness that was shown to be will never be forgotten. My dad returned home last week and anytime anyone asks me what facility I recommend- hands down it would be munster med-inn.

I would like to say I have seen great changes since Robert became the new Administrator. My mother , Bertha is at this facility. I have several sisters that live in Texas, including myself ! Robert has gone above and beyond to assist with issues, questions or concerns ! He understands what families are having to endure during this Covid Pandemic, he understands the importance of visiting and speaking to our love ones face to face. When Robert knows we are in town visiting our mother he has made it a point to come see if he can help us with something. Whenever I have a question I know Robert is

I will say first hand, I had a small issue with Munster Med-Inn. Robert the administrator did everything he could to help work things out. As a local business, I really appreciate the concern to help me and the patient who needed us both.

They were great when my father was alive. Once he passed in April of this year they are refusing to refund just under 3,000. For his room and board. Even though hospices are the ones that took care of him. Being charged 300 a day when he was only there 2 1/2 days. I have bn arguing with them for weeks. It's now the middle of July and still keep getting the run around. I truly think they are enjoying making me fo through this. Or so it seems.

My mother has severe cognitive and physical limitations stemming from a traumatic brain injury in 2010. She resided in this facility from 2010 to 2011 and again from 2015 to 2020.

Care was acceptable during her first admission, although she frequently had to wait for LONG periods of time when she called for assistance or to have her brief changed.

During her second admission, the facility was frankly negligent. They had her valid power of attorney on file and valid contact information for 2 adult children (one of whom was listed as a contact on her facility 'face sheet') yet they

My mother has been in this facility for eight years and my father passed away at the Munster Med Inn. I have lived through and observed the facility go through many different administrations and staff over the past eight years. I wanted to share that the current administrator, Robert Petty, is far and above the BEST administrator that has EVER been at this facility!! If I were rating him alone I would give him five stars!! He has gone out of his way to help myself, my mom's caregiver (Mary), and my mom during this challenging time! Previous administrators who I have interacted with over the past

Throughout the COVID pandemic our family has felt very informed regarding regulations, safety precautions, updates and changes. Whether it was supporting visiting during limited hours, delivering care packages or forwarding messages, the staff went out of their way to ensure that my family could feel limited connections to my aunt, a long-term stay patient at Med Inn. Although it was from the 3rd floor they helped organize for her to see us through the window at Christmas and most recently, allow her to meet her infant great nephew for the first time (albeit 6 feet apart with masks). During trying

I was devastated when we walked in. Nothing but drugged up people sitting slumped in wheelchairs in the hallway.
Management is inept and useless.
Most staff we saw were on their cellphones nearly the whole time.
Getting staff attention without "attitude", non-existent.

If zero stars was an option that’s what this place would receive. Our Mom was sent there from the hospital & immediately we knew it was the wrong choice. The only staff she said was nice was the physical therapists. The nursing staff was cruel! Why are you in this field if you don’t care for patients?! She suffered from C-diff & would push the call button. She said they wouldn’t come for 30 minutes! By then she’d have accidents that she was already embarrassed by — then to get yelled at for it! Food was cold & gross.
She ran out of minutes on her cellphone, we would beg them to give

My grandpa was sent here for therapy after his stroke. He went into this place walking. My grandpa hasn't had a bowel movement in 20 days. After 3 months of being here they basically kicked him out. They were telling my uncle that my grandpa was refusing his medication and refusing to do therapy. So my uncle went to get him well needless to say my grandpa could not even help get in the van. My uncle had to pick him up and put him in the car. Needless to say my grandpa has been home 36 hours and my uncle has already gotten him to take his medicine on a daily basis and started giving him mirlax water

While the staff in the re-hab department are very good, the same can't be said about the nursing staff. Some nurses didn't know what some medications were for or why the patient needed it. On the day of my mom's discharge, they did not have her dressed and ready. A weeks worth of clothing was missing and they couldn't locate it. 3 weeks later still no clothes. Not happy with the staff.

This is a terrible facility. The nurses, aides and overall staff do not care for the elderly patients who are unable to communicate. They will not feed them if they are unable to feed themselves and will tell you they have ate their meals when they know they haven't. It pains me today that I left my mother in the care of these soulless people. Shame on anyone who works there.
