Executive Director - Laure has over twenty years of experience managing in the senior living industry; independent, assisted living and memory care. Laure's passion is building strong teams and mentoring current and past employees to become leaders in the industry. We happened upon SDS when we needed to move my Mom to a 24 hour care Memory Unit, but needed an independent unit for my Dad. A place that would allow them to be close and feel safe, supported.
The property is lovely, and every single staff member I have come into contact with in the last two weeks is gracious, kind and friendly.
It is not easy working in the senior retirement community business... I know as I worked in it for roughly 4 years as an ED. It is even more difficult working in a memory care unit, where aging loved ones are not the same selves they once were and need a lot of care.

Very bad choice for your family and parents. They aren't aware of the patients needs, like giving them their med's, helping with using the bathroom, and checking on their state of mind. Grandpa can't come home ( there) from the hospital because he can't get out of bed without help and guidance to and from the restroom. Grandma wants to kill herself because she can't remember where herl husband is. We know she won't do anything that serious but remains frightened and alone. My wife goes there nearly every day to help her mom and help her remember to take her meds.

My Father has been a resident here for over a year. Besides the warm atmosphere, every single staff person, from the Executive Director, to the med-techs to the dining room staff, go out of their way to make the residents feel welcome & comfortable. They are very friendly and are truly concerned about the well being of all concerned. I feel very confident that my Dad is being well taken care of.

My father is under hospice care here, the staff are overworked and understaffed. My father is to be checked on, changed and moved from side to side every 2 hours. The morning caretakers work well together but the afternoon and overnight staff leave alot to be desired. Between my mother, sister and I we are with my father 7 days a week and 16 hours a day so that we make sure that he eats. There is no consistency with the care staff but I dont blame them. Between bathing residents, changing them, taking the to and from the med room and dining room they also have to do the residents laundry. My father

My Grandma has lived here for over 3 years and loves the staff. She has always received excellent treatment from everyone there and if there is an issue the staff always takes care of her needs promptly. I want to give a special thanks to the kitchen staff that always provides excellent food. Way to go Sierra Del Sol keep up the good work.

The staff at Sierra Del Sol are great to work with. They are very knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant to work with. They go out of their way to make sure the residents are in a clean environment, comfortable and enjoying their home. I highly recommend checking the place out if you or anyone in your family is looking for a senior living residence.

This is a horrible place to put your family members. The memory care unit says they work with residents in their time. Unfortunately, this is not the case. To start, I get a phone call from the head of memory care saying my grandfather can no longer have snacks in his room because of mice. They explain that he leaves out his snack so he needs to be monitored with his snacks. Now, this is totally fine except they were saying the snacks were the problem. There are mice in the building and that is why they are in my grandpa's room. On top of the constant lock downs in the memory care due to sick

A year ago I would have given a 4 star rating to this facility in spite of the constant turnover of executive directors, lack of leadership and training for the staff. The rating would have been based solely on the dedication of the majority of the caregivers.
But when my mother could not care for her basic needs herself I noticed the care declined.
