When light enters the eye with less-than-perfect refraction, you may experience nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism. If the lens of the eye can't bring near objects into focus, you may have a refractive error called presbyopia. Corrective lenses, such as eyeglasses and contact lenses, can compensate for these refractive errors by correcting your individual prescription.
Diabetic Retinopathy is an eye condition that strikes people with diabetes. This eye disease occurs when glucose in the blood reaches high levels that it damages blood vessels in the retina, causing them to either swell, leak, or close up. Diabetic retinopathy can also prevent blood from reaching the light-sensitive retinal tissue.
Your eyes are extremely sensitive to changes in your body. High blood pressure is one condition that can have a big impact on your vision. Left uncontrolled, high blood pressure contributes to the development of glaucoma. Rather than just one disease, this group of conditions can slowly steal your eyesight and leave you severely impaired or completely blind.

I'm past due for my yearly appointment with Eye Care Center, Ballantyne due to what's been keeping a lot of people at home these days (C-19). I don't qualify by NC's standards to receive the vaccine yet so I've let a lot slip by (and YES I need my eyes examined and my reading glasses no doubt updated). I can't wait to get back and see everyone, from staff to doctor, they are all so nice, kind and professional. Highly recommend. Miss you all!!

Everyone in this office was easy to work with, very patient and very professional. Not once did I feel like I was being rushed to choose and hurried to leave. Which is great considering how this virus has been affecting everyone. They have a great selection of frames as well for those who really need the glasses and are all about their aesthetics. And nothing in their location was overpriced in much opinion. The frames I have now were $400+ and everything I looked at with a similar frame and style were all less than $300 and these were big brand names like Oakley and Ray Ban. Just things to consider
