Since 2005, founded by Grand Master Kyoung Jin Oh, Triumph has developed as solid reputation as a place of empowerment for both children and adults of all skill levels. Through Triumph's 11 years of growth and success we are currently teaching at 2 locations: Tenafly, NJ and Bound Brook, NJ. We have built a program designed to make the quality of training at all locations consistent.
Integrating elements of Karate and Chinese Martial Arts, Taekwondo is the most well-known form of Korean martial art. It emphasizes self-defense and head-height kicks, jumping kicks, spinning and fast kicking techniques. During the 1940s and 1950s traditional Korean martial arts such as Taekkyeon and Gwonbeop was incorporated with foreign martial arts, as mentioned above, to form Taekwondo.
Before considering putting their children into Tae Kwon Do, parents often wonder whether their children is too young or if they will benefit from and enjoy this new form of activity. Many may even think that after all Tae Kwon Do is just a form of traditional Korean Martial arts, what benefits could it possibly offer in today's world?

The instructors are very patient and work well with small children. My kids are 3 and 5 and loves to go to this place so much!!!My older son loves BBC club!!! He learns so much and has developed a lot of confidence. Master Kay is so honest about programs and fees. When I tried trial class, instructors didnt push me to sign up.I appreciate that kind of focus on the child over profit.

As far as tae kwon do schools go, this is by far the best I have seen in my 22 years of training. Master Oh continually advances his knowledge of the art and shares it with the students - training never gets stale if you continue to learn new things constantly. His staff of masters and instructors are also top notch. They are consummate professionals. If you're going to get involved in martial arts and you're in the Bergen or Rockland County area, start at Triumph - they have locations in Tenafly, Norwood and Nyack, NY.

My son has been going to Triumph for over a year and during that time all he and I can do is sing Master Kim's praises- and the entire staff,for that matter, including Master Oh and Master Park. Triumph's approach is perfect for children of all ages and I would even go out on a limb and say very good for higher functioning children with autism. The methods used are in line with strategies used in the ABA world with out the instructors really trying to cater to this population. Every class brings excitement and structure. They focus on honestly, bravery, politeness and discipline
