Our school is nestled in the quiet and friendly community of Closter, NJ, away from the noisy traffic jams and where the air is always fresh and clean. Tiger Kim's Taekwondo Center currently teaches over 1,000 active students in the Triborough area.
We are the only school in this area that provides full-time, highly qualified, professional Black Belt instructors for all classes. Our instructors are selected on being the most highly qualified Black Belts and then are required to undergo extensive training on an on-going basis in the Martial Arts of Taekwondo.

Services
Provides students an opportunity to become stronger, improve their physical health and self-image, and recognize the rewards of hard work and discipline. It is never too late to start training in Taekwondo. Enjoy a total body work out, including flexibility, strength, and aerobic training, as well as a chance to relieve the stress of everyday life.
At Tiger Kim's TKD Center, we have a unique curriculum and class format which was designed by the late Grand Master Tiger Kim, 9th Degree Black Belt, Chairman of Tiger Kim's Tae Kwon Do Association. Our curriculum combines traditional Tae Kwon Do with modernized teaching techniques.
We provide avenues of learning to satisfy interest, from development of self defense abilities to physical conditioning to participation in the sport aspect of Tae Kwon Do.Mind, body and spiritual benefits are enhanced. One will learn to have a strong mind, discipline, focus and dedication. The body will develop optimum physical appearance and good health.

We love tiger Kim Closter! My son had been going there since he was 3 years old. Through This class He built strength muscles confidence and self discipline and he enjoy each class so much. Going through each belt test along the years will always stay a great childhood memory for us! Master Kwon and Eduard are very kind and professional. Thank you

Master Steve Kwon and Master Edward Cruz are great - professional, respectful and are great with kids. The classes are a good mix of learning TKD, skills training and enjoyable. My daughter has also been part of the demo team for several years, and it has really helped her develop her board breaking skills as well as her form while being part of a team and really has learned a lot from her teammates. She has also competed in statewide competitions - all made possible because she attends Tiger Kim’s Taekwondo!

My boys have been going to Tiger Kim’s for 7 years now and they love it!
Both Master Kwon and Master Edward are very encouraging and supportive.
It is a very well organized school where the kids are always challenged in accordance with their age and level, they never stop learning.

Fun, Safe, Clean, Professional, Community. We toured several schools in the area before selecting Tiger Kim's in Closter, based on their excellent reputation and recommendations from friends. Master Kwon and Master Edward are great with students of all ages, from toddler to adult; but their little tigers classes for toddlers is especially fun for the little ones and parents. There is a very comfortable and clean viewing area for parents to watch their little ones, but it is also great for drop-off as the school is very well organized and run. The Masters do a great job of training kids of all abilities

My son has been going to Tiger Kim's for the past three years and has really enjoyed the experience! I would highly recommend Tiger Taekwondo due to the quality of the over-all program, including good training and instruction by the masters/teachers, school philosophy, and sense of community. Master Kwon and Master Edward have a great way of getting kids to do their very best (even the younger ones). My son is not only getting good exercise and learning to defend himself, but also the program assists in building discipline and confidence.

Tiger Kim’s school is excellent and has helped my kids develop their physical and social skills while teaching them discipline, confidence and proper form. We have been attending Tiger Kim’s school for over four years and are very happy with the results. Master Kwon and his staff have always been professional, polite and very considerate to our family. I would highly recommend this school for all ages especially young children.

Our family has been part of the Tiger Kim's Taekwondo center for over 12 years. We have all trained there at one time or another. Our youngest is still a member. We chose this school because of the importance place on Respect first! The discipline and training has been great for the kids and helped a lot towards their regular school experience. So happy we found this school!

It has been a year since my kids have joined Tiger Kim's and I see a big difference in them. They have more confidence in themselves. They are also seeing the rewards of practice and hard work when they achieve the next belt level. This shows them that if they show the same commitment to school and other things, they can also succeed in those.
Master Kwon and Master Edward are amazing instructors. They care a lot about three students. They have a good balance of maintaining discipline and that the kids enjoy the class.
My kids leave the class everytime excited for the next class.

Tiger kims taekwondo is a truly community involved school. You get to see the Masters at school, at local fairs and community events, it gives kids sense of involvement and pride.
Clean and safe environment for my child, he truly enjoys attending every class. I think that speaks the most, when your child loves going to each class and enjoy the teachings from both the masters.

Great program! My son has been coming here for awhile after a year of wanting to engage. He is very attentive and the masters ensure the kids not only show respect but laugh and have fun. I'm impressed at the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the dojo. My little guy looks forward to his sessions and always leaves smiling. Highly recommend.

Great school. We have been going here for years and it is very professionally run. The curriculum is both logical and intelligent. It provides education in both martial arts and in being a good citizen, a good child, and a good student. Children are given check off lists for their parents to sign that verify if the child does their homework, is respectful to both teachers and parents, makes his/her bed in the morning, cleans up after they play, eats their meals, helps out at home, etc.... It is very refreshing to see children thank their teachers and their parents for all that we do for them
