Tim's carpentry experience goes back over 25 years to when he began framing with a home-building team of experts. He worked framing custom and semi-custom homes in Pennsylvania and Delaware where he learned speed and accuracy. Framing homes gave him experience in figuring and cutting lumber, installing windows and doors, building staircases, roofing and general carpentry skills.
In 2004, Tim started TLS Carpentry Inc. He specialized in decks and interior trim, working mostly for other general contractors. Tim realized that he loves working directly with the homeowners, doing the job from design to finish. He now works almost exclusively for the homeowner as the general contractor.

Since 2004, TLS Carpentry INC has been designing and building custom projects for our clients. With 15 years of experience, TLS has tackled countless projects big or small. We do everything from finishing basements, to building porches and decks, custom additions, and everything in between. Our design and build company prides itself on completing the job in a timely manner while providing excellent customer service throughout the entire process.
If you're interested in having us do a project for you, we begin by meeting with you at your home to look over the project. Tim, the owner of the company, will sit down with you to assess your needs and ideas. Once the design and estimate agreed upon and we have a signed contract, we will take care of getting any necessary permits.

We used TLS Carpentry for the first time recently and had our old deck removed and a new deck installed. From beginning to end, the process was flawless. Tim provided a great design to fit nicely with our backyard and coordinated with our pool and hardscaper contractors to ensure the design worked with our future pool project. Tim completed our outdoor pavilion over 10 years ago and we still LOVE it and would absolutely hire him again to do any of our carpentry/outdoor projects. We truly trusted Tim and he took our vision to create a unique pavilion and he made it a reality. Not only do we trust Tim, but he has a great work ethic/integrity which made us feel comfortable hiring him. We hired TLS Carpentry over 10 years ago to create our pavilion. Tim used a unique type of wood for our ceiling and took our rough 'plans' to create a lovely outdoor space. Even 10 years later this outdoor 'room' is still my favorite part of the house and we have had no issues with Tim's work. He does a quality job, the first time. I wouldn't hesitate to use Tim again and highly recommend him because of his great work ethic, attention to detail, fair pricing, and high integrity.

Our old deck that was built over 10 years ago by a previous homeowner was falling part with rotted wood. On top of this, during its replacement we found that the previous contractor didn’t use flashing where the deck met the house and our exterior walls were rotted and in bad shape as a result!
We interviewed 5 companies to replace our old deck and add an expansion sunroom/3 season’s room. TLS built our new composite deck over the summer and did a phenomenal job. They had a virtual tool that showed us how the deck would look on our house as part of their quote and Tim's knowledge really showed when we were discussing options. We ended up going with lighted posted and flared steps and everything could not look better. We had a party over the summer and got a ton of compliments.

Tim was referred to me from my neighbor they are an engineering and an interior designer, because I know they are pickier then me, so I truly trusted their choice. Tim he finished our basement less then 6 weeks including township permits (gym, family room, full bathroom and bedroom) and did an excellent job. He made sure everything was up to or exceeded code, his crew treated our home like their own, they always vacuum and clean up after they done and never leave any lights on or windows open when they leave the house, was fairly priced and always professional.
