My partner and I are relatively new residents at Brookside. This community has a very nice atmosphere and feels more like an arboretum than an apartment complex. Very nice tree selection and great water elements along walking paths. Really nice pool and hot tub area as well. Typically, I would not rate an apartment building, but I in this case I feel very inclined to share because of how positive my experience has been so far.
I particularly appreciate Marisa Rosales in the leasing office and how helpful she has been to make everything as smooth as possible with our move-in process. She is great

Lived here for several years because it was cheap (for Mountain View.) So not worth it. Aside from massive pest problems (silverfish, roof rats, etc), terrible maintenance (didn't do the job right the first time, second, etc until a year and a half later. Blamed the resident the whole time for their slop job.
The biggest deterrent should be NO a.c. Generally, no issue, but when it's hot, you are dying. This is California. When we are hitting high 90s and 100s, you'll start to regret living here. Especially since there's no air flow even with all of the windows open. Really awkward layout.

I have been living at Brookside Park for 2 years. I am giving 5 stars solely to Marisa Rosales the Assistant Community Director for her organization and customer service skills. She started working at Brookside Park recently and I am so thankful to have her help. She is responsive, patient and takes time to explain and answer any questions. Before she came on it was... not so easy. She is the absolute best!

I lived in this apartment for a year. Right after I moved in, this property decided to build a huge water tank right next to my bedroom which blocked the already limited amount of natural light. The construction lasted for months and it created a lot of noises before and after it started operating as water running out and into the tank and also through pipes on the walls. They should have told me before I moved in. I complained a couple of times, and nothing happened. Also, the cable box by the balcony was not covered for almost a year. I was very concerned and also reported to the property office

Don't move in!
It's a good area with nice looking apartments, however the pros don't extend much further than that. There is a blatant disregard for tenants. DURING THE PANDEMIC there have been full days of electricity shut offs (to install unnecessary amenities)-- with people working from home and unable to go other places, as well as internet and hot water shut offs with minimal notice. There is constant noise and construction, as well as frequent break-ins to the storage areas, and package theft off of doorsteps. Management is useless. Save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere

I have stayed here for two years. It's a beautiful complex but the apartments are old. It's way too expensive for the place. Full two years there was some construction or the other. The management was good enough to respond timely, but the issues with old apartments and maintenance wor, make it deserve a 2.5-3 stars. You can get way better place for the same price..

Brookside has been undergoing massive construction for the past few years and will continue it through 2023--with no recompense or consideration for residents. I've lived here for 2+ years and have had maintenance barge in unannounced at 7am to "fix" random things that I never requested be fixed, access to my balcony and outdoor laundry unit taken away for 5+ weeks, and access in and out of my apartment taken away from 9am-8pm while they do more construction (among other things). It takes 10 minutes of running the shower to get hot water. Their online rent payment feature was broken during the

FALSE MARKETING! BAIT sand SWITCH! I called to schedule a tour to view an apartment they posted on Craigslist that has a 8 weeks free rent promotion. They said they don't have any promotion and that Craiglist is a third party site and they didn't post that (even though the post has detailed contact info which I used to call them and property photos). But they'd take my contact info in case a promotion comes up. NO THANKS since they can't be trusted.

We moved in at 2018 august and have been here for almost 2 years in a 2bed/1.5 bath apartment
Overall, i like the location and the basic floorplan of the apartment and would rent again.

Good part:
Living room/dining room are spacious
I like the fact they are carpeted over having hard wood (but i guess this would be a con to many)
Dual pane windows and mirrored closet doors
Dianne and Tim both are pretty responsive to any complaints brought up to them
Maintaince folks are friendly and responsive.
In house washer drying (though that is in the bedroom which was weird to me at first)
Rent though

Just a quick update that, now almost a year in, we decided to renew our lease. To the credit of the staff at Brookside Park, our initial complaints were all eventually resolved. All of the pros from our original review still hold true.

To recap, the total list of things fixed:
* Bathroom mirror replaced
* Vertical blinds were totally replaced with new, horizontal blinds
* New shower door was installed
* Stove was replaced
* Bathroom was recaulked, and some parts of the wall repainted
* Sink cap was replaced
* Door jamb and new door knob installed

Some additional negatives that we didn't

Not happy at all with our visit to this place. First off, less than 10 min before our scheduled appointment, I get a call telling me that they don't have 1BR units to show and the only one I'd be able to see would be a 2 BR (I was interested in a 1BR unit). Apparently they haven't had any 1 BR units to show in a long time. If that's the case...why couldn't they have told me this on the phone when I made the appointment the day before? And even if they hadn't, what good does a call less than 10 min before do? Might as well have waited to explain face to face.

Anyway

Overall we are satisfied with this apartment. So far it is peaceful, relatively quiet. The small gym stays open till 12am, so quite convenient. The apartment is currently under remodeling to replace windows and repaint the external walls.
Because this is an old apartment, your facility may not be kept in the best condition. We have one broken stove and one broken washer within two months of moving in. One restroom gives out musty smell from the air duct, and we keep hearing sound of water dripping on the ceiling.
Generally office people are friendly and maintenance would come in within the same

I called Brookside yesterday and scheduled a tour for the next day based off of the quote that was given to me over the phone: $2,181 for a one bedroom. Great done. I showed up this morning at 9:30am, was looked at by one of Brookside's employees who didn't even come out of his office to greet me and he just sat at his desk, and the first thing he said to me was "What's your budget?" Wow. Okay. I explained I made an appointment to view a one bedroom and he said the one he had available was over $2,500. I stated that is not what was told to me over the phone and on the Brookside

We've stayed there for 5 years. The apartments and the pool are fine but the gym is poorly equipped. The treadmill was broken for over a year until they finally fixed it.

I am giving this place 2 stars because the management is terrible. They are extremely unresponsive and it got worse over time. They never pickup the phone and rarely answer emails. It is hard to find them in the office during business hours especially on Saturday (which is a working day).

When we finally moved out, it was very unprofessional. The maintenance guys missed the final inspection appointment twice without giving

This is a long review but it WILL be helpful. At first glance this place seems reasonable. In hindsight, we put up with way more than we should've considering what we were paying. For MV, they units are on the bigger size (though some floor plans have a totally different feel and are tiny due to poor layout!). However in each bedroom there tends to be hardly any useful wall space and awkward room layouts which makes it complicated to figure out where to put a bed or any furniture. Bonus - big closets. Also, if you are a dog person, there's no limit on how big of a dog you can have which

A few weeks ago I decided to move to mountain view, so I looked up this apartment central park on Wishman and made an appointment. I was there early and wasn't allowed to have a tour. I drove away thinking where to kill three hours before my appt. I zillowed what's nearby and saw Brookside that's nearby. I went there and was greeted immediately and led to see the showroom. The community is absolutely serene with lots trees, pond, pavilion, ducks and squirrel. I instantly fell in love with the surroundings. The buildings are old, built in the 80s hence don't expect to see Avalon

Quiet and pleasant grounds. New property managers are far superior to the old ones.
There have been breakins into the parking area storage units, which the management tried to hide.
Beware that when you move out you will be charged for painting (because the paint was chipping off the walls, which had nothing to do with me) and the full cleaning fee, even if you left the place absolutely spotless and better than you received it. I paid for an extra two days so I could get the place in absolutely perfect condition, and was charged anyway.

This review is more about the management and one of the agents that we worked with rather than the community itself. While looking for a new apartment, we came across Brookside Park online and decided to go check it out.

=== Is there a point in making an Appointment?? ===
Since we are working professionals, we scheduled an appointment a day in advance to save us time. The appointment was for 11:30am and we arrived at the location ahead of time. To our disappointment, the office entrance had a sign saying "be back at 12:15". We waited until 12:30 but no one showed up.

As with all apartments, your experience can vary greatly. For the most part, I enjoyed my stay at Brookside Park. The apartment was spacious and relatively quiet, although some street noise leaked in. Most of the maintenance requests I filed were handled the next day. Never had a problem with the neighbors or management. After the second year, my rent was raised above my budget, so I had to leave.

I agree. It's time to let go of the past. Thank goodness our new manager Jamie is nothing like Joi. What a breath of fresh air she is, always polite, and does her very best to quickly resolve issues.

My apartment is very spacious the carpet is nice, the appliances are great! The only thing I would change if possible would be to upgrade the kitchen cabinets, however, they look and work fine as is just are old...(my personal wish list).

Alejandro, Elva and Cruz the maintenance team always have a smile and you can see them working hard around the property!

I feel like I live in a beautiful
