Edibles Rex burgeoned from a small restaurant (Silver Spoon Carry-Out Cafe in Grosse Pointe Woods) Tammy Tedesco started in 1992 to Metro-Detroit's top-notch caterer. The heart of everything is Tammy's love of creating delicious, wholesome foods for any program or occasion. It doesn't stop there. She's mastered the orchestration of her team's talents to assure outcomes meet and often exceed expectations.

Whether you have a corporate event, graduation, political function, business breakfast or luncheon, seminar, art gallery opening, reunion, wedding, birthday bash, school assembly, picnic, cultural festival, anniversary celebration, theme party, high-noon tea, intimate dinner for two or any other social gathering, Edibles Rex can perfect your plans.
We start with the freshest ingredients from Detroit's Eastern Market and a host of other locally sourced ingredients. Our Menu ranges from the simple to the sublime, with choices of power breakfasts, hot and cold hors d'oeuvres, deli express lunches, theme picnics, stations of the world entrees and platters - buffet style or direct to the table.
For delivery, there is a minimum $150 order required excluding sales tax and service charge. There is no minimum for pick-up orders. All prices are subject to 6% sales tax and 18% service charge (for deliver, set-up and serving ware). For orders outside the surrounding area, additional delivery costs may be incurred.
More and more schools are counting on Edibles Rex School Food Service for their meal programs. It's backed by culinary professionals with over 75 years of combined experience operating out of a 10,000 sq.ft. Food safety - cold food delivered cold, hot food delivered hot in temperature-controlled storage containers.
We are always looking for motivated individuals to join our mission of producing and serving healthy meals to our children. The Production/Assembly Team Member will prepare, assemble and package approximately 5,000 meals per day for school meal programs for Metro Detroit area schools.

We have been using Edibles Rex for literally decades. Their food is delicious and innovative. Constantly changing but with standard classics. They can handle any of your needs from a small intimate dinner for 2-4, to a dinner party from ten to fifty or more; to wedding parties of hundreds. They can make your Thanksgiving Feast, you can sit back and enjoy and look like a holiday rock star. I even remember when they did all the appetizers for Michigan's largest indoor offsite catering event at the Viper Plant when the Beach Boys played.

I used Edibles Rex to cater my wedding back in 2013. I cannot say enough great things about this company. They were so professional and accommodating. I worked with Liz and she was amazing. She worked with my budget to come up with a delicious menu. She also gave me tips/advice for planning my wedding. And she offered to pick up and return my linens as it was near her home. We had a strolling dinner at the Detroit Historical Museum. People still talk about how great the food was, 6 years later. Edibles Rex catered our wedding at the Detroit Historical Museum. I'll start by saying how wonderful and responsive they were with my wife and I during the planning period. I felt like I had nothing to worry about which is great because planning a wedding is so stressful. They worked with our budget and made sure we were getting the most for our money and the food felt and tasted first class. We had a strolling dinner and our guests loved all of the options. This place should be shut completey down getting paid all this money to feed children at these school for lunch an you feed them cold food a year old frozen chicken an lord nos what else.The food is always cold the kids complain about how horrible the food is this place throw more food away because the kids wont it it.An trust me after i found out my childern is eating old year food i will be reporting it start to the health department an the state who every i have to talk to to get this shut down if they dont care about of childern,some one has to stand up for kids.Feed them like they wild animals

I can't even begin to describe how much I love Edibles Rex Catering.
My husband and I chose their "Strolling Supper" for our September wedding and could not have been happier with the end result. We were slightly worried about going with them since we didn't have a chance to sample the food beforehand, but it sounded delicious and everyone was so helpful over the phone that we knew we had to give it a shot. Our choices:
Beef tenderloin and charbroiled salmon filet - Phenomenal. There was even a guy there to carve the beef for us. Fancy!
Mediterranean food spread - Everything
