Office Outlet began in 1987 in Grand Rapids, MI. Initially, we functioned as an office furniture outlet store for several manufacturers' surplus and excess inventories. In the mid-1990's as the refurbishing industry became more specialized and competitive, we diversified into a wholesale supplier of systems furniture.
We chose to work with Herman Miller to broker to refurbishers nationwide. We were able to successfully distribute their excess product. In doing this efficiently, we increased revenue for Herman Miller and protected their dealer network. Most recently in 2018 we joined with Design Within Reach, a large retailer of authentic modern furniture and accessories in North America.
