Holland Bowl Mill
We did the tour and it was a blast! It was amazing to see the process and how much work goes into creating unique pieces that can last a lifetime. All Holland Bowl Mill bowls come with a lifetime guarantee. If your bowl ever cracks or warps from regular use, Holland Bowl Mill will replace it with a new one of similar size and finish.

Never let water stand in a wood bowl for a long period of time and never clean wood bowls or any wood product in the dishwasher. Holland Bowl Mill recommends using water and a small amount of mild soap to clean your wood products, then hand dry. Holland Bowl Mill accepts payment by Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover credit cards and through PayPal.
Services
These beautiful solid Red Oak bowls were turned by the craftsmen at the Holland Bowl Mill, which is one of the last commercial wooden bowl mills in the United States. To obtain the rustic look we keep the outside rough and lightly scorch the bowls with a fire torch! The end result is a beautiful rustic look that will serve your favorite salads and dishes.
To preserve your wood bowls and the other wood products you cherish, try our famous Bee's Oil Salad Bowl & Wood Preserver. Bee's Oil Wood Preserver is completely food safe, made only from food-safe oil and beeswax. It penetrates the wood and leaves a soft protective luster to all wooden products. It is easy to use and smells wonderful.
Much like your employees and business partners, no two Holland Bowl Mill products are exactly alike. As it takes close to 100 years for a hardwood tree to produce the beautiful grain patterns in each item, the variety of colors and grain patterns give testimony to the uniqueness of each product. Functional and decorative, our corporate gift ideas are keepsakes that will last for generations.
There was a time when wood bowl making was a cherished trade, passed down through generations of families. Today, with the abundance of inexpensive materials available to mass produce tableware, our handcrafted bowls have become a specialty item. This centuries-old traditional craft, passed down and perfected through generations, is almost a lost art.
In 2007, the Discovery and Science Channels' "How It's Made" program put us on the national stage. Discover how wooden bowls are made with the Holland Bowl Mill's video archive. Here you will get an in-depth look at how our bowls go from big logs to the most exquisite handcrafted wooden bowls. As a bonus, take "A Look Inside" the Holland Bowl Mill with 616 Media and our very own Kory Gier.

I use my Holland Bowl and Mezzaluna almost every day. They go with me when I travel - I can’t imagine being without them. This year two of my daughters-in-law were gifted their own bowls - they’ve seen over the years how much I love mine. Thank you for a treasured and invaluable product!!

Ordered a 13 inch fruit bowl for wedding gift. I'm very pleased with quality. It will be a keepsake (and functional!) for the couple. It is a unique gift. Allow extra time for shipping.

I was looking for a big wooden salad bowl, but kept coming across the cheap "teak" ones, made from multiple pieces of wood. (Hello 1970s!) I finally found the Holland Bowl Mill. Their bowls are stunning, made from a solid piece of wood, unvarnished. When the salad recipe says, "Rub a cut clove of garlic on the inside of the bowl", THIS is the kind of bowl you need. Just exceptional, a work of art.

LOVE my Holland Bowls! I “only” have two, a 17” (my first love) and a 12” chopping bowl that I bought as birthday presents to myself the past two years. I use them at least several times each week and even keep the large one out on my counter. I can’t wait to add another bowl for my next birthday, the only question is which one will it be. Thank you HBM!

Wow. Wow. Wow. Simply fantastic. I first discovered this place on the How It's Made TV show and when I was planning my trip to Michigan, a visit here was a must see stop for me.

Driving up, you wonder if you're in the right place. The building doesn't really stand out, and all you see from the front is the showroom. But when you walk in, say hello to either the father or son owner who are actively hands on with the business, and they'll invite you to browse around- not only the showroom, but also the reproduction facility in the back.

And this isn't some little glimpse

Beautiful work! I ordered a beechwood bowl, a mezzaluna knife and a mezzaluna knife holder for chopping salads.

I wanted a bowl big enough to chop a one pound salad. I received it in less than a week and its beautiful.

I wish I lived close enough to tour the factory. I'm in Virginia. I bought a couple of these bowls from Hudson's (now Macy's?) back in the 90's. I love them! They are my favorite bowls and I use them for everything - salads, chips, etc. when we moved, I couldn't find my 2 bowls, so I bought 2 more when I visited Michigan.
Now I have 4. They are very high quality. I love the simple classic shape, thickness and the bee's oil finish. I just bought another one online in cherry for my niece as a wedding gift and had it engraved on the bottom with her wedding date. I couldn

Love it! wooden bowls are of high quality, the showroom is small but I am amazed on how many types of wood from expensive to moderate all of the are uniquely shaped. My friend bought me a small bowl with wooden spoon and fork while we were there and it was special coz it comes with a paper about the details of what you purchased and how to take care of them and what's more awesome is that they have engraving service .

Loved touring this mill!
It was most fascinating to learn about the labor-intensive process of producing finely-crafted wooden bowls.
I highly recommend this place.
