I've been coming to here for 4 years. My 1st visit was that I found out I need a root canal therapy, I hesitated and consulted 3 different dental. Among them Dr. Wong provided me the best explanation and treatment plan, while the other 2 consultation freaked me out. The therapy was really good and I can tell it requires tons of expertise, Dr. Wong did super well.
Since then me and my wife are solid customers, the clinic is clean and ppl are super friendly and efficient.

I don't like writing negative reviews as a business owner knowing how much impact it can have on a small business but please AVOID THIS CLINIC especially Terry Lin, who is the most condescending and arrogant doctor I've ever met. As soon as I sat down, he started talking down to me in a manner that shocked me, saying things like:
-why don't you know Invisalign will damage your teeth?!
-why don't you know you need implants first?!
-why didn't you think you have major issues to fix before even thinking of veneers?!

I've been coming to this dental office for over 3 years now, and prior to discovering Apex Family Dental I had quite a few unsuccessful visits with various dentists in the city that I almost lost hope I would find one dentist I could trust my smile and stay loyal to.
I have seen several dentists in this office, but my favorite is Dr Wong, he did 90% of treatments for my teeth. His bedside manner is very professional and friendly, he always comments on what he is doing and makes you feel relaxed. I can almost take a nap while having my tooth filled as ridiculous as it may sound.

Dr. Ma and her staff are theeeee best! I'm very picky with dentists, I take my teeth game seriously. Why? Because not only is your oral health connected to your overall health (hi brain cavity) it's one of the first things ppl notice about you.
I have Medicaid (ie: I'm not made of gold) and my biggest fear is that I won't get the best medical care, and simply that's not the case here. Very conscientious doctors. Dr. Ma goes the extra molar (ok, mile) to insure high standards, and manages quality attention in a busy office. I’ve been coming here for over 3 years now, and ironically, I feel like i would be coming a lot less.... if i had been coming there years before. Kudos to Dr. Nancy Ma, Dr. Wong and the rest of staff The only odd thing at all about the office is the bowl of harder/sticky candies like tootsie rolls and taffy at reception, but maybe that’s their way of saying, “bring it on”. Also great to visit cause its in the center of so many amazing Chinese markets

As if losing a front tooth as a professional adult isn't already bad enough...
I went to a different dentist who put in the post for a crown and took the moldings. He was unnerving and unprofessional, so I went to Apex Family Dental for the actual crown placement. Both dentists were in-network for my insurance.
Unfortunately, the old dentist had already billed insurance for the full crown amount, so Apex Family Dental could not file the claim with the insurance. I agreed to pay the money up front with the understanding and trust that I would be reimbursed once the first dentist remitted

My elderly parents went for a visit due to an abscess. Christopher Wong didnt provide a diagnosis except a copy of an x-ray with a white spot and tells them, "something is there." It's as if they never seen the dentist. I ended up taking my dad for an emergency visit at NYU Dental and the student dentist was able to diagnosis my dad with a lesion - over growth of tissue; which was later confirmed by the professor & a surgeon. Im skeptical of Christopher Wongs skill if he cant diagnose.
Dont go to this dentist. Useless.

At age 70, I have my share of dentists and dental cleanings. This is by far the best. Dr. Ma is patient, knowledgeable, and most of all honest. The extraction was painless. This time for cleaning.The cleaning was thorough, not a 5 min job like elsewhere. Everyone in that office, from the front desk to the dental assistants are professionals. You get Park Ave. Treatment downtown

It's sort of nerve-wracking to go to a new dentist for the first time, for something relatively serious (a root canal, for me). Thankfully I found Dr. Wong - he was great! He thoroughly explained everything he was going to do before he started, took his time (but was still fast), made sure I wasn't feeling any pain (I didn't feel a thing) and did a great job overall. I'm so glad to have found this office. The staff are very nice too.
Incidentally, I also saw Dr. Ma for my consult and she was very nice and knowledgeable too, though I can't say much more than that because

Came in after fearing the dentist for years due to a severe toothache on top of my wisdom teeth coming in. I consulted Dr. Young about the wisdom teeth, and he offered me a plethora of options and advice without pushing me towards getting the teeth removed. He patiently explained the pros and cons of each and answered my barrage of questions. One of the best dental experiences I've had. I don't like to go to the dentist, but they made me feel so comfortable. The dentist was very nice, and I was out of there in less than an hour. Saw Dr Ma for the first time and usually I'm super squeamish at the dentist but she is a real sweetheart. She actually looked at the x-rays with me and showed me everything and taught me what she was seeing. Then she did the cleaning herself and she was so gentle thorough and sensitive. She could tell when I started to get nervous and advise me to take some deep breath's. I felt like I was in such good hands. Also, so often when they are scraping your teeth they keep poking your gums and I wonder why they are not being more careful. Dr. Ma never did this once. I cannot remember when I

I was lucky to find Dr. Christopher Wong thru Zocdoc.. I am not a fan of going to the Dentist regularly . To my surprise he was gentle and kind..Extremely Professional. One thing I also liked was he gave me treatment choices, and didn't push a list of expensive procedures that needed to be done. His staff was rally nice and helpful too! Highly Recommend..

I've had some really poor experiences with my previous dentists so I was pretty careful in picking a new dental office to switch to (that was in my network). I saw that the Apex Dental was a relatively small practice (which is what I wanted) and that they had pretty good reviews online.
I've had two visits so far with Dr. Wong (routine checkup/ general cleaning and a cavities visit) and both times I've been treated with utmost respect and care. The receptionists are very friendly and helpful-- with them actually giving me a brief run down of what each form I'd be signing.

This is my initial visit with Dr. Nancy Ma and my experience with her is awesome. First thing is the ambiance of the office is clean and professional. When I walk in I saw Dr. Ma right away sitting in the front desk and she calmly explains to me the forms I have to fill out and what it entails. Then I was escorted my very sweet staff- Shelly and she was gently assisting me with the Ex-Rays.

I've never had this kind of professional, kind and polite dentist ever. She was the person who really cares about patience. During the treatment she was keep asking apology even it wasn't hurting me. That's nice of her. She worked each of my tooth and without pain. Also she was NOT fast like other dentists. She asked questions and gave me advices slowly, clearly and politely. Love it.
