Our goal is always to help our patients maintain their oral health and to care for and protect their natural teeth. Maintaining oral health includes good home care and regular visits to our office for preventive care, which includes oral examinations and cleanings. Even with excellent care, however, teeth and gums can be susceptible to disease, infection, cavities, cracks, or other forms of damage.
An oral examination is a visual inspection of the mouth, head, and neck, performed to detect abnormalities. Radiographs allow for a more complete examination, helping the doctor to detect cavities, problems in existing dental restorations, gum and bone recession or other abnormal conditions within the mouth, head and neck area.
Our office specializes in cosmetic dentistry. This means that we not only pay attention to the health and function of your teeth, but we also pay close attention to aesthetics. We want you to maintain great oral health but we also want you to have a beautiful smile and the confidence to smile often!
For more than a century, metal braces were considered the best way to straighten teeth. They remain highly popular today, but increasingly, people are turning to Invisalign instead. Billed as "the clear alternative to braces, " Invisalign uses smooth, clear, medical grade aligners to gently shift the teeth.
Strong, stable, and durable, dental implants have become the gold standard to replace missing teeth. Of course, like any other dental procedure, dental implants are not the best choice for everyone.

I was a patient for over 20 years. I always got the best dental care from Dr Cassidy but I was treated very rudely several months ago when I needed to cancel an appointment. In the past they would charge me which I understand, but this time I was told I couldn’t make appointment anymore but I was welcome to call the day of and see if anything was available. It was handled in an unprofessional and rude way. Also my husband was charged for an appointment cancellation when he explained that he had an emergency surgery he had to perform. Needless to say we are no longer patients.

Today was my second visit to West 10th Dental and I cannot express how happy I am for finding a dentist where I am treated with respect and dignity instead of being pushed into decision and tried to be sold and upsold. Every person I dealt with, from Peter (office mgr), front desk staff, hygienists and dr. Segos were more than friendly, followed covid-19 rules and respectful. After dr. Great dentistry. I've been here 3x so far and had a great experience. 2 cleanings and once for a custom made mouth piece which I use daily for my sport. Dr.sengos and his staff are well experienced. His hygienist Erin was diligent with the cleaning . I've been to numerous and thus far the best staff is here. My questions are always answered with such great clarity. Best quality treatment. I recently had a cleaning at West 10th Dental. I am extremely happy with the results. It was by far one of the best cleanings that I have ever received from any dental office. I've been very hesitant to post this, but I truly don't want anyone to have to go through what I did. And then literally pay for it, financially and bodily. The front desk here is abysmal and incompetent. I should've known when the women wanted to photograph me when I just came out of a filling face completely numb, drooling on one side for their patient records. When I explained surely there is a better time she laughed in my face, what empathy! This might sound cheesy, but the West 10th Dental team feels like family. I have been a patient for many years, and even though I moved to Los Angeles two years ago, I refuse to find a new dentist out here because they are just that good. From the moment you walk into West 10th, you're greeted by Irene and Peter, who make you feel right at home. Between their friendliness and the chill vibe in the waiting area, it's not uncommon to chat with other patients. I mean, that doesn't happen often in NYC!

Was referred by a friend as I was looking for a new dentist who keeps up with modern dental trends and doesn't just suggest procedures that are unnecessary. I found it in West 10th Dental. JR Cassidy has been my dentist for about 25 years now, and I've always felt lucky to have him. He's a superb dentist, always keeping up with the latest technology and techniques and materials. A year and a half ago I came in for a promotional offer exam for X-Rays and preventative check up. Dr. Barranco saw me, gave me a decent teeth cleaning (which was an expensive add on, since it was all out of pocket). She also told me that the X-rays revealed that I had a small cavity and recommended coming back for a filling. I was surprised since I've never had a cavity in my life. I received a copy of X-Rays and consulted another dentist who examined the results and my teeth, and disagreed with the initial diagnosis. Dr. Sengos fitted me with a crown for tooth #30, but it did not fit correctly. After trying literally to jam it in -- and appearing obviously frustrated and impatient -- he sheared so much off of one end that food has continually become trapped between #30 and #31 ever since.
Since relocating from Manhattan, I've found that gum erosion and bone loss are now so severe in that spot that I have decay on the roots of #30. I will now lose the largest molar in my mouth -- because I cannot afford (1) periodontal work to repair the gum and stabilize the bone, or (2) a subsequent root canal procedure

Good: There seems to be a super low staff turnover. So Since I have been coming here for the last 4 years, most of the same people have been there, which seems pretty great. The offices are quiet and very clean. The front desk guy Peter always remembers me, which makes for a real community feel. The hygenists seem to be very caring, if not sometimes kinda harsh. I got laid into a few times for not having enough done a good enough job flossing (which I needed).

Five stars are not enough for Dr. D and his team. From past experiences I had true dentist phobia. I had not visited a dentist in many years and I was one of those people who would not sit in a chair to save my life. One day I met Peter (who runs the office) and he convinced me to stop by and talk to Dr. Sengos. I did. That was a few years ago and I could not be happier. After hearing all the good reviews I'd made an appt to see the dentist. I was running about 25 mins late and the receptionist called me to see if I was still coming. Dr. Sengos and his office staff were incredibly nice. As he was examining my teeth, he would explain to me what he was doing.
