Our founder and director, Dr. Sanam Hafeez, received her doctorate from Hofstra University and completed her post-doctoral work in neuro-developmental psychology at Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn, NY.Dr. Hafeez is a New York State licensed psychologist and a New York State certified school psychologist.

Psycho-educational testing refers to the psychological tests used to analyze the mental processes underlying your child's educational performance such as Intelligence, Academic, Reading, Writing and Math Achievement. At CCPS, we provide a plethora of Psycho-educational testing, either individually or often as part of a larger neuropsychological assessment process.
There are various reasons why children may be experiencing challenges in school. A Learning Disorder, such as dyslexia, may be one of them. A comprehensive psycho-educational or neuropsychological evaluation may provide insights to the nature of the problem and how to remediate it. Sometime, around the 3rd grade or so, children's reading skills plateau due to increased emphasis on comprehension, when dyslexia begins to show.
Most major commercial insurance plans (GHI/Emblem Health, Empire/BlueCross BlueShield, Beacon/ Value Options, Magnacare, Oxford, and United Healthcare) are accepted. Usually there is little or no out of pocket cost to the patient. Cash, checks and all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard and American Express) are accepted.
