Services
Sunny Day Academy offers quality care and education for infants through kindergartners as well as before- and after-school care for children ages six to twelve. Our highly-qualified staff teaches a well-balanced curriculum that supports the learning of young children in a caring and comfortable environment that is conducive to the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional growth of each individual child.
My name is Alicia Yourkiewicz and I am one of the Co-Regional Directors of Sunny Day Academy and The Emilia Schools. I began as a Preschool teacher at SDA - Hilliard in February of 2011. I then moved into the role of Floating Director after graduating with my Master's in Education in August of 2012.
Our teachers provide a caring and comfortable environment that is conducive to the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional growth of each individual child. By providing activities that promote hands-on learning experiences, children actively learn, develop, and achieve while at Sunny Day Academy.
Sunny Day Academy is committed to being your partner in your child's early childhood experiences. In order to support us in this endeavor we have adopted the Creative Curriculum. Our curriculum addresses the whole child and is designed around eight Essential Areas of Growth. We understand that you are your child's most important teacher.
Your infant will get the loving and nurturing interactions they deserve at Sunny Day Academy. The teachers strive to provide a safe and secure environment designed to explore and learn. Each baby will have a primary caregiver and that teacher will communicate one-on-one with your baby and help him/her meet their needs physically, cognitively, socially, and emotionally.

Now renamed The Emilia School but same great staff. Incredibly grateful for the kind and caring folks at the Emilia school. The fun events and friendly staff makes you feel like part of the family. Super clean and trustworthy. We can't wait to get back to work and sending our son back to the school. Hope everyone is staying safe and if you need a school for daycare for your new little one you've came to the right review and business.
