Amazing staff and family owned. Of all the daycares we toured this was the only one that felt comfortable, safe, and productive for our child. They have low turnover and trained staff. The environment is conducive to learning and play and not sterile or cheap feeling like some more expensive daycares were. Newly renovated outdoor play area is large and full of great activities for the kids.

We love Smoky Row Children's Center! Our daughter's teacher is so caring, and the entire staff has worked hard to make a personal connection with our daughter and with us. As an educator, I am very impressed with the play-based education our daughter is receiving at Smoky Row. It is developmentally appropriate and makes learning fun and natural. We have loved our experience at Smoky Row. I went to many preschools trying to find the right fit for my daughter. I knew as soon as I met Lora the director, that this was the school for my little one. The teacher retention is not only impressive, but it’s reassuring. Miss Jola and Miss Kim are kind, understanding and have an absolute gift for working with children. I LOVE the open lines of communication that they have with us as parents, I love that the kids get to play and exercise multiple times a day, and I am blown away with all the information my daughter is learning. Smoky Row is a MUST SEE when touring preschools! As a teacher, I was very picky about the kind of preschool I wanted my children attending. Many preschools push technology and workbooks but those things aren't developmentally appropriate for children in preschool. At Smoky Row, it is all about learning to be a good person, developing a love of literacy, creating art, and having fun! We spent 3 wonderful years with Smoky Row CC and loved it! My son did 2 years of part time preschool and a year of full time pre-k and my daughter 1 year of part time preschool. We were so sad to have to switch centers due to our job , but are so thankful for the loving teachers who really got to know our children and were so developmentally appropriate.

I would give six stars if I could. Our daughter is starting first grade now but her three years there were extraordinary. She still talks about the friends she made there and the staff is incredible. The teachers' tenure says everything and everyone we had was 10+ years and many had 20+. Granted some of the facilities and fixtures show age, but all are in good condition and it seems the money is more invested in the staff than the shiny stuff. We would recommend Smokey Row to anyone.

Smoky Row has been providing quality childcare for over 30 years. Some of the current teachers even attended as children! Their commitment to the well-being, health, and happiness of the children in their care and the families that entrust them is beyond rival. Smoky Row Children's Center is the best around. Where can you find a privately owned center that has been open, successful and full since 1982!? Every single staff member is professional and has years of experience. Other center's may also require staff to have a degree as does Smoky Row, but you will never find a place where everyone has a passion for teaching and a love for children! We can't say enough great things about Smoky Row. Our son attended from the time he was an infant till he completed kindergarten. He's been back every year after for summer camp and we're sad he'll be too old after this summer. The teachers at Smoky Row are top-notch and we feel confident they they played a very positive and important role in our son's development.

Our two boys have been at Smoky Row for the last three years, and I couldn't be happier with the love and support they have received from this family of dedicated professionals. The people there are like family to us. We don't live in Powell, but drive there daily because the quality of instruction and care is so outstanding at Smoky Row.
