A wonderful experience. I’ve been getting my eyes checked here for years and it has always been the most pleasant experience. I’ve bought contact lenses here as well as glasses. The staff helped me make the right choice in frames that complement my face, and that justifies spending on a designer frame because I know I look great and they will last me for years. DO NOT go here! Zero star establishment. They have rude and terrible staff, especially the woman named Heather who will argue with you about billing, which is immediately a red flag. Their $75 exam is a joke and they do not listen to their patients' requests in order to make more money. Let me explain.

A treasure hiding in the corner of Chapel View lies Bling Eyewear. The first person I met at the desk was very professional and after checking me in asked me to take a seat. The inside is very clean and decorating is as the name explains Bling everywhere. The staff at Bling is exceptional! Dr. Hanson is very thorough and makes you feel right at home. Her kindness and patience are tantamount. The receptionist is very friendly and efficient, particularly at this time of the pandemic. Kristen, the technician ordered my new lenses and tightened up all of my glasses just perfectly. Bling has one of the best doctors I've ever worked with. Bling has the exclusive and unique frame stock you want in a shop. Bling has the staff that knows the aesthetics of frame selection to guide you through the selection process. I was in the Optical business for years at a very exclusive boutique organization elsewhere; this site is the closest I've seen to that in RI. Make an appointment; they're worth the wait.

I've spent a ton of money at Bling for frames, lenses, exams, and contacts in the past for both my son and myself. A few years ago, after purchasing my graduate student son a pair of Tom Ford frames at Bling (along with the lenses) I called to say the frame broke, without provocation, at the temple. These were less than a year old when they just suddenly gave out. I was told, on the phone and in person, the frames would be replaced free of charge. We returned to Bling with the glasses. There is so much to choose from here! You can call and make an appointment or walk in. They listen to what you're looking for and help find your perfect match! They're very patient and don't push you to choose a pair until you love the frames. If you aren't satisfied with anything on the floor they go in the back to grab more options. They're very professional and know their stuff when it comes to protecting your eyes. I love the options they have to choose from such as retina protection, transition lenses, film so you can look at a screen for extended amounts of time.

I have spent most of my adult life purchasing eyewear at big box stores. I was under the erroneous belief that I would find the best value there. I struggled because regardless of the insurance or the affinity program discounts I used the price always remained essentially the same. Due to my prescription and the environments in which I wear them I would always buy quality frames and the highest quality lenses. I would buy one pair of all around glasses progressive/transitions and a pair of dedicated sunglasses. They would always cost approx. $1400.00. On a whim I decided to comparison shop at Bling

I've had repeated horrible experiences with Bling. First, they wouldn't order my contacts without the doctor seeing me a second time. I have NEVER had an optometrist do this, but y'know, whatever.
It turns out I didn't like the contacts she had me try, so I just decided to order the ones I used to get. After giving me the run around for a bit, they said they'd call me back on Monday so I can order my contacts. Cool. Monday rolls around and nothing.
I decided to give them til the following week-I had a "follow up" appointment

I took a while to decided where I wanted to go to fill my new Rx for glasses. I had been to other opticians in RI, and was not at all satisfied. Then I saw the GREAT reviews for Bling, and decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did. Although I wasn't the only customer in the store, I felt like I was. I was greeted most cordially, and was assisted almost immediately by Ricardo, one of the opticians. He was absolutely fantastic. He attended to my every request. We spent quite some time selecting the right frames, and he was most patient, explaining everything to me, without a hint of pressure

Bling is a wonderful store- don't let the name throw you off. I went there to get new RayBan frames and for them to change my lenses in my prescription sunglasses. They are a family owned business that will spend however long it takes with you to find the perfect frames. They also offer a AAA discount on frames and other discounts to save you some $$. They have a huge selection of all different prices and styles.

I needed new frames and lenses and couldn't find anything I liked at my old place. Checking around led me here, and I couldn't be happier with my new glasses.
The staff took a lot of time working with me to settle on the frames I ultimately decided on, which was tough because I had three or four that I really liked a lot. I had no issues with my insurance and after my new glasses arrived they spent more time making sure I was comfortable with them as they are my first pair of progressives.
I needed to stop in a couple times since getting them to get minor tweaks done to the frames
