The doctors and office staff are good. However, I got glasses there that the coating went bad 14 months later and was told sorry,12 month warranty. Yes,look at the picture. That is the coating delaminating on the right lense,right In my line of sight. Never again. I'm in the service industry and 2 months out if warranty, I'd eat the cost to keep a customer happy and a bad review off the internet.
I was called and asked to change my review, but decided not to. This was written back in May or June,because that's when I brought this to their attention. I get a call from the doctor 6-7 months later

My wife and I moved to Coventry from out of state within the last year and I needed an optometrist. I want to support our local businesses as much as feasible, healthcare, food shopping, building materials and supplies, etc. I opted to try Dr. Rick Liner at Coventry Eye Care. My appointment was for 12:00 PM. I arrived few minutes early. Gave my information to the receptionist and had a seat. I was taken 5 minutes later to begin the tests and then into the exam room. Extremely dissapointed. Apparently the Dr. Doesn't like to deal with people who order online. Claims it's because he can't see the fitting but he checked mine and said they were fine.... but once he realized my insurance doesn't cover hardware he refused me. I asked for just the exam he said I would be better off at lense crafters. He knows my glasses are too old to drive w. I have no vacation time and I don't have anyone that can drive me. It's just me.... clearly he is not here to help people. Just his pockets.. Apparently this place is too boujee for me. 🤷♀️

First impression is always important, call the office for information about prices and see if my insurance cover the consultation but the person answered did not have the time to explain and start racing her voice and telling me that they only check insurance if I book an appointment, I know that, but she said we don't have time right now to book you, if you don't have time for potential patients you should not be in business,

I am a new patient, and was truly happy with Coventry Eye Care Associates.
First: I was met by Sharie, the receptionist. Not only does she have an enthusiastic personality, but she makes sure that the office is clean and sanitized after every patient. A great first impression at the door.
Second: I met Dr. Thomas Liner. Professional, helpful, and very personable. Unlike other eye doctors I've gone to, he doesn't treat you like a number, or try and talk down to you. He's very down to earth, and treats you with respect.
Third: I met Ben. Ben helped me pick out my new frames. If you want honesty

My very first eye exam for as far as I can recall and I am thrilled to have found such a nice place! The receptionist was super friendly, the wait was not long either. The woman who does the first exams was super pleasant and we even had a few laughs. Dr. Rick was respectfully very knowledgeable. He is so fast and efficient! After my eye appointment, I found out that I needed new glasses. I had no idea what I wanted to get, but the optical staff was absolutely fantastic! They showed me so many different options and helped me find the perfect ones that look great on me. The staff is so knowledgeable and helpful. I will definitely be back and also plan to tell all my friends to go to Coventry Eye Care for glasses.

Coventry Eye Care has a very friendly staff. Everyone is pleasent and they are willing to help. The Optical department is great with helping you select the right glasses and providing the information that you need.

While the actual doctors here are very nice and good, the ladies working the front desk on the side that you pick out your glasses are so rude. When I went to pick out my latest pair of glasses, it took about 20 minutes to get help. Then, when I got help the lady assisting me treated me like I was very dumb. Maybe it's because I'm a college student and did not go in with a parent? I also have taken a pair of glasses there to get repaired and the woman helping me gave a sigh and looked very agitated once I told her how they broke. After moving to Coventry from Westerly a year ago, I needed to find a new eye doctor in the area. After searching different eye doctors in Coventry. I decided to go with Coventry Eye Associates since they are located conveniently down the street from my work. I am so glad I did!! Unlike other eye doctors they have appointments past 4pm for people who work late like myself. The office staff as well as Dr. Rick and Dr. Tom are super welcoming and friendly. I purchased my contacts through the office last year and today and received a great deal on them! I highly recommend Coventry Eye Associates!

Dr. Rick is the best! He is friendly and professional to all his patients. He takes the time to listen to your concerns and that's really important to me as a customer. There are a lot of eye care stores around that have all kind of gimmicks to get you to go to their store but when it comes to my eyes, I want only the best and the care I receive at Coventry Eye Care is the best! Had a great experience with the Coventry Eye Associates. I had an appointment cancelled due to a family emergency at the Chariho branch, and was able to get an appointment at the Coventry branch the next day. They were very accommodating and friendly. Office easy to find, clean, and efficient with the different tests.
Not having vision covered through insurance I needed to pay for my exam out of pocket, which was completely fine and more than reasonable ($99 for an exam when quoted between $175-$250 at other eye places).

Consumer beware. Went for an eye exam. They are very pushy with wanting u to buy their glasses. Rush u through the eye exam to get u out in the show room to sell u glasses. Told my husband that they don't give u the eye perscription when he declined to buy their glasses which is illegal and they know it!!! Called back and the optician lied to me and told me of course we give u the prescription. Lectured my husband because he told them that I buy my glasses online from zenni optical. Let me tell u , I have been buying their glasses for years and they are inexpensive and good quality. Won&apos

My husband and I waiting over half an hour for an eye exam, were rushed through the exam and then the doctor escorted us to the optics department trying to sell us glasses with clip on sun glasses.
We felt rushed through the process and did not feel we had the best of care from both doctor and optics department. We will not return next year.
