I started my daycare in 1994, just before my daughter was born. When she arrived, she joined my daycare group which was very rewarding for my daughter and for me. Now she is off to college - Wow, the time sure flew by! I am a member of a state sponsored food program which monitors what food I serve and when.
Nutritious meals are always served. The program allows me to provide meals to children at no cost to parents! I also have my certification in child first aid and cpr, which I update yearly. The reason I became a childcare provider was that I really enjoy seeing children grow to reach milestones in their young lives, like learning to walk or talk and developing their social skills like making new friends and learning to share.

I know what it takes to raise a family and that is why I've kept my rates very affordable. If I were looking for childcare I would want affordable rates too! My weekly rates range from 80.00 for part-time school age children to 215.00 for full-time infant care. Rates are determined by how many children are in care, how long they are in care, and their ages.
A typical day consists first of having breakfast then I run the kindergarteners and school children to their classes. We also discuss what the children did last night or on their weekend. I then will read a story to the group from one of my many children's books that I have available. Then we may take some time to do puzzles or play a board game.
