Wholesome Horizons Learning Center is a licensed home child care and preschool located in Bolingbrook, IL, convenient to the Stevenson Expressway (I-55). Wholesome Horizons provides a structured, nurturing environment at an affordable cost. Infants and toddlers are provided an environment where they can explore through play and develop physically, socially, emotionally, and cognitively.
Preschoolers work towards gaining the social, emotional, and academic skills necessary for them to be successful in kindergarten and beyond. School age children receive a structured before and after school program that allows them time to complete homework, extend their learning, and/or relax after a long day!

Services
Wholesome Horizons Learning Center adheres to all of the safety and health standards required for licensing by the Department of Children and Family Services. The majority of household products used are environmentally (and health!) friendly. We have a large basement playroom where children are free to explore the abundance of toys and participate in gross motor activities when weather does not permit outdoor play.
Wholesome Horizons Learning Center places a strong emphasis on play and children are allowed a great amount of free play time during the day in which to stretch their imaginations. Weather permitting, children will spend time outdoors every day. We also provide slightly more structured learning opportunities, especially as children get closer to school age.
I participate in the USDA child care food program through Day Care Resources. I go above and beyond the minimum food program requirements by serving all-natural, nutritious, and mostly organic foods free from artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives, genetically modified ingredients, hydrogenated oils, and high-fructose corn syrup.
100 Days of Real Food: This has been my "real food Bible" for several years now. Lisa provides an abundance of resources for implementing a real food diet with a real world budget and family schedule. Her cookbook and links to recipes provides so many wholesome, nutritious, EASY recipes that your whole family will love, as well as an abundance of ideas for making real food school lunches a reality in our busy lives.
