MacDougall Financial is a family owned, and operated Registered Institutional Advisory Firm. Originally known as Schofield Financial Counseling, the firm was founded in the late 1980's by Mr. Douglas Schofield. He and Teri Savage worked together until Lanny MacDougall joined them in 2005. Two years later, Lanny assumed full ownership and management after Doug retired to pursue outside interests.
We work closely with each individual to make sure they feel confident and secure in their financial life. We exercise flexibility in our agendas, realizing that financial questions don't always adhere to a schedule. With this in mind, we're available and happy to speak and meet after hours or on weekends.
Our firm caters to both current retirees and younger clients looking to plan for the future. We advise on annual contributions, budgeting before and during retirement, and major purchases that affect long term financial planning. Similar to our investment advice, we take a comprehensive approach to retirement planning and work with you to address each of these areas.
Reviewing a will is an integral part of planning for the future. We know that it takes thought and time, which is why we provide both the resources and knowledge to aid in the conversation. We work directly with your lawyers from the onset or provide a recommendation if you have yet to select one. We also often act as the executor or Trustee of the Testamentary Trust.
An integral part of our service involves reviewing and/or developing complete estate plans for our clients. We want to ensure that your wishes are followed and that you have the proper care throughout life for foreseen and unforeseen events. We are a resource and a repository for all necessary documentation and information and offer the full spectrum of trustee and executor services.
