Services
The Columbiana County Counseling Center opened in 1963 and, for over four decades, has been helping individuals and families obtain the support needed to live a mentally healthy life. We have a long-standing history of providing professional help for people experiencing emotional and substance abuse problems, behavioral challenges and relationship difficulties.
The Center, incorporated in 1963, is a private, not-for-profit comprehensive behavioral healthcare organization (the "behavioral healthcare" indicates that we work with mental and emotional illness, substance use issues, and the dually-diagnosed - those with both mental and substance problems).

Our Vision: We envision the Counseling Center as the preeminent behavioral health provider in Columbiana County, positively impacting lives through elimination of stigma, promotion of mental health and addiction treatment parity, and provision of excellent, comprehensive, and integrated care. Our Mission:It is our MISSION to improve the lives of individuals and families by meeting the behavioral health needs of our community.

The providers vary. Some are excellent. Some are awful. The office is a disaster. Bank on them never calling you back, crossing lines, or even misspelling your name and then insisting they can't find you in their system. We need better, more professional resources for mental healthcare and people who can do their job.

My appointment that I made weeks in advance got canceled AN HOUR before the start time. The reason they gave me was because she was too busy. Really? How can you be too busy for a scheduled appointment? Super unprofessional. I would get it if she was sick or something, but the receptionist literally told me she was too busy. Not sure how the actual counseling is, but if this is the way that they treat their clients, I don't care to find out.
