I used Merle at Merles Imports since 1992. He is top tier mechanic also but sold his shop and retired. 2021
He recommended Petit Automotive As my future mechanic
Also. My closes friend Doug Mann who died in 2006 was always bragging on Petit for their great honesty and competence. He knew Mr Petit SR who died not long after Doug passed.
Recently I brought an aging vehicle in for repairs and diagnostics testing. I got the most complete fix and explanations

Absolutely hands Down the best experience I've ever had with any mechanics shop, I was experiencing a rather hopeless Ford Pats issue after I roasted every computer in my truck, David was Fast Profesional, and Extremely knowledgeable about this issue and many more. Reprogrammed every module I had to replace while keeping me in the loop and up to date the entire time. His prices are very fair for the knowledge and experience under his belt. If I spent extra money without having to, it was only because I didn't take my vehicle to him immediately. Hands down thoroughly impressed.

Petit Auto Care is an extremely disorganized and non-professional auto care business. This morning I wanted to know how much they would charge for rear brake shoes replacement for my small car. I called the place. Karen the receptionist said "I will call back". She never called, so I drive to the shop to talk to David who said he would send an estimate by email. I wanted to know dame price for brake shoes work. I finally got his email after a long day that says $308.10 for my rear brake shoes work for my Nissan Versa 2010, small car. Too high, So, I went to another shop in town to get

Finally. An honest and reasonable auto mechanic in the Sierra Vista area. I am not a native so have bounced around from shop to shop. Although there are other shops that are capable, be prepared to be nickel and dimed. Some other shops charge $70 to change a cabin air filter! Some other shops markup parts over 100%. Petit's are capable and fair. Thank God.

Petit's is the place to go! Our car had water damage and a musty smell with mold growing in it. David did his ozone treatment on it and now it smells like nothing! And it killed the mold I was worried about. Having a daughter with asthma, this brings great peace of mind knowing the mold hazard is no more. Worth every penny. I have to buy an air freshener just to put some scent back in it. :) Thanks, Petit's, for everything.
