Opened in 2000, Sammy's in Cloquet is owned and operated by Mike Acheson - grandson of Sam Perrella. Our menu features award-winning pizzas, pastas, hot appetizers, subs, calzones, broasted chicken, soups and salads. In 2015, PMQ Pizza Magazine, the pizza industry's No. 1 publication, inducted Sammy's into its Pizza Hall of Fame - which pays tribute to popular pizzerias in business for 50 years or longer.
In 2018, Sammy's was also voted 'Best Pizza in Minnesota' in Minnesota Monthly Magazine's Pizza Bracket Challenge. Our family tradition began more than 67 years ago with Sam Perrella - or as we like to call him, Grandpa Sam. Our grandparents, Sam and Louise Perrella, owned a small cafe on the Iron Range in Keewatin, MN. It was during the early 1950s that Sam would listen to stories from World War II veterans about favorite foods they had discovered while serving in Italy.
A welcomed addition to any freezer, our frozen pizzas are made with the same signature sauce, fresh ingredients and artistry as those served in our restaurants. Gift them to a fellow Sammy's lover - or even yourself (we don't judge). They are readily available for purchase in the restaurant in a variety of options and we also can take custom orders 24 hours in advance.

Who doesn't love Sammy's Pizza?! Every pizza they make is delicious with an amazing crust & copious cheese, their chicken drummies & wings are hot & flaky, and even the spaghetti sauce they serve with their bread sticks, garlic bread, & mozzy sticks is super flavorful compared to the standard pizza sauce that most places serve. There's a reason Sammy's is a local favorite 👍👍

If I could give no stars, I would have. We ordered a pizza after an hour it was delivered to our table completely burnt. I mean it was completely black. When we complained, the waitress offered to make a new pizza. However, we were put at the bottom of the list. Others who placed orders after sending our pizza back received their pizzas before ours. Then the waitress said she was taking money off for the inconvenience. No discount was given.

Stopped into see if I could bring my dog on the patio they said no so we went back to the hotel and ordered delivery. The lady I talked to on the phone said 35-40 minutes which was perfect. (my hotel was 4 minutes away) 45-50 minutes pass so I call them and the lady said they just came out of the over he will be there in 10-15 more minutes I say “ok” wait 15 minutes and go down to the lobby. 20+ minutes later I call again and she hands me to the manager or whoever his name is mike who says “they are just coming out of the oven” I said “why was I lied too? She said 35-40 minutes!” Mike
