This is about the snack bar and the buffet.
A total disorganized array of a $hit show. From the ordering to picking up their food. The staff needs to abide by the system that they have in place.
1. To order, take your number.
2. When your number is called, you come to the window and order. they give you a receipt and a buzzer.
3. When your buzzer beeps, then you come to the pick up window and pick up your food.
Simple right? That's not what happened this night.
People waiting in line not only to order but to get their food. This goes against the system you have in place.

I like playing here. Won $7000 on .25 cent, 4 card Keno. I won $5,000 on a monkey game with a 40 cent bet. Only buffet that's open at all of the casinos. It's not the serve yourself kind of buffet though. They bring out all you want.
They have an excellent little bakery type restaurant and their breakfast is good.
They also on hold $1 when you book their hotel rooms. There is no deposit. Just the dollar.
I only gave them 4/5 stars because it is almost possible to book a room here. They mail out comps for the rooms but you can never actually get one. And apparently you can't

Valley View dropped both me and husband from Gold Status to Red...
So ok I understand we havent been here in a few months becaused we moved.. we thought ok no problem. We can just work our way back up.
But then we get in line to get pager so we can wait 2.5 hrs to be paged to eat at buffet . We finally get pager after waiting for 20 mins. Then got told that they dont serve Red Card status. Wow !!!!!! AND the cost for buffet is $42! Just crazy... We were having 7 of our family members

COVID review- Overall look ,friendliness and cleanliness of the casino is a 5. I have to rate it a 3 for the food aspect. The hours of operation and the LONG waits to eat is ridiculous. Just for the snack Cafe I just wanted chips waiting 15 mins before I gave up.
The 24 hour snack is no better ,line is long and anyone w/ a black card jumps the line. So appx 8 people jumped ahead of an already 10+ in line. The pub plave and buffet don't open till 4 and we saw people in line for buffet at 2:30 on a Sunday.
I understand Covid hrs etc but this casino is packed and the food options r limited

I was very happy when I heard the buffet was open, we drove 40 minutes to go there, the line to the buffet was 2.5 hours on a Tuesday afternoon around 6 pm , but the worst part was when they told us that we couldn't come in because we needed to spend $7500 on the casino machines ! Crazy! We'll never come back!

Fun story: I once hit on a guy at the snack bar here. I was unaware that it was April Fools' Day; he thought it was a joke but kept in touch and we've been friends ever since. In fact, next year we celebrate our 12-Year Friendship Anniversary!
Anyway, this casino has changed so much! I hadn't been here since before the hotel/pool, and I used to come for the lobster buffet. Flash forward to today, and I'm here to check out their newish steakhouse.
I'm not really a gambler, but I did stop to play a couple machines to kill time before dinner. I only lost $2.50 in two hours

Hotel was sold out but theres a marriot in Escondido that isn't too far. They have great promotions for new card members. Walked away with $10 freeplay, a blue tooth speaker and several food vouchers that covered my dinner and desert. Great big screen in the bar for watching football. Lots of penny slots and 5cent Caveman Keno. Thursday night had great drink specials $2 beer, $3 wine and $4 wells. Bartender shot is tiny..like a 3 count. They only serve one drink per person. About 10 minutes before Sweets closed, I asked Tom in players club to print my $10 voucher to use and he refused after

One of my favorite casinos. You get so many good benefits with the black card. You get to park in the vip parking as a black card member. Free buffets and more play. Free drinks (non alcoholic) at the vip lounge. The only thing I wish this casino was closer for me it's a 2 hour drive but worth it. Table games aren't that expensive I think they have 10.00 depending on the time and 15.00 always available. Yes you can smoke inside they have non smoking areas too. Apparently there's no vaping allowed but smoking is fine? if this casino was any bigger I'd give it 5 stars but

We use to come here about 4 times a month driving in from Los Angeles and we always would have a great time!
It's Friday and we arrived around 4pm and it was so unorganized with the new set up for getting your gift you first have to get a number and wait for them to call, the attendant said it would be about an hour and a half... I remember it back before Covid people would collect their gifts and go home if they wanted to, I guess this is a way to assure people spend a couple hundred dollars before getting

Great place too gamble I usually always win walking away is the hard part. I'm a gold card so I treated 5 people too the buffet. 1 of those people was my mom she has not been there since the pandemic the food is really good but at the same time way different less options and dessert was very disappointing.the wait in line is the same maybe even longer than it used too be.too make things worse I felt sick and my dad was puking all night.we both had the coconut shrimp.

This review is only for the buffet restaurant inside the Valley View Casino. You're probably asking buffet during a pandemic? Yes, it's true buffet available here. A few things have changed due to the pandemic, but hey you still get options of food it's just you will be served of the food you want. Here is how it works if you would like to try the buffet. 1) you need to put your name on the waiting list and cell # to be sent a text. 2) a text will be sent in seconds to confirm you are on the waiting list ( just say thanks) 3) you will get a text about 1.5 hours later to come

This used to be my favorite SoCal casino, even over Soboba. Never because of the gambling, I almost never win here (only 1 handpay ever and it was BARELY one at $1216... Soboba I've won at least 8 handpays, the lowest was $1350), but the food options were great (Black & Blue, killer steak and lobster place, and The Buffet, which used to be the best around) and the casino had a great filtration system because even in non smoking, you could actually breathe. We would make the hour and a half long trip usually twice a month for the past 4-5 years. Once Covid hit, obviously it pumped the brakes

Just a quick update as we approach June 15th, 2021 in California. Like a lot of other places, Valley View Casino is beginning to look normal again. Not 100%, but closer.
You still have to wear a mask, but temperature checks have disappeared and more tables have been added to the restaurants. I saw a few new machines, although one of my favorites has been removed. You win some, you lose some.
If I may suggest though - say away from anything Buffalo mixed with something else, like Dragon Link or Luxury Liner. I can't win crap on those! But I've had some luck on other newer
