Dr. Melcher graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelors of Science in Business, then went on to Nova Southeastern University to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree in 1999. During her education she completed three externships, the first being the study of low vision and low vision aides from Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami.
Being from a medical background, Tania loves helping people and will assist you in frame selection, educating you on the latest most custom options for your eyewear, and taking precise measurements. On her free time, Tanya enjoys cooking and spending time outdoors and on the water with her family. Sharon has been in the optical field for 33 years and is our most experienced optical technician.

The Drs are great but the customer service is just horrible! How can the Dr not see that? They are rude, they just want to be chatting and they get mad if you interrupt them, they really don’t care about you. In the past they had a lady called Ashley, she was simply awesome with the customers. Sadly we won’t be back to this place, it’s a shame that a good office goes downhill because of customer service.

My family loves Eye Designs Vision. My husband and I predominantly see Dr Potter. She is one of the most caring doctors and you can tell she really wants to help your vision be as clear as it can get. (She takes a lot of time with me getting just the right contact lenses RX, because I like to see far and sharp!) She does a very thorough exam making sure the eyes are healthy. I feel like I’m visiting with an old friend when I go for my yearly eye exam. I wouldn’t hesitate to send anyone to either Dr Potter or Dr Melcher.

They are thorough and professional. This is the best eye doctor. They don’t pressure to sell you things you don’t need. They take the time to make sure they have the best prescription for your eyes. I love that they spend as much time as needed in the room and it’s not a quick in and out. I’ve gone there for years and I love them. They have very accommodating appointment times and days for your schedule. The office is clean and modern.

I've been wearing Gas Permeable Contact Lenses for over 40 years. If you are looking for someone that can help you with contact lenses - Dr Potter at Eye Designs Vision is the one to "see". This was my first visit and I walked out with a huge smile on my face. The whole experience was pleasant, from the receptionist to the pre-exam testing to they eye exam. Dr. Potter actually took the time to listen to what I wanted and nothing was rushed. That's extremely rare these days, and not my experience elsewhere. Thorough from beginning to end. I got new contact lenses because the old prescription was way off...I thought i had to live with sub par vision as I'm not getting any younger. With the right doctor, I got the right prescription and the right contacts and glasses with very helpful people. Never felt like I was being "sold" anything. I see so much better now...and am glad to support a local office rather than chain. Costs are quite similar frankly. thank you!

Horrible customer service, one employee says one thing when another says a different thing. Was told my glasses were under warranty and I just needed to buy lenses, when I came back to buy my lenses they said my glasses were never under warranty. Didn’t do anything to try to help, just overall bad service. Would not recommend.

My wife and I have been customers since they opened in their original location. Must say I’m very disappointed in there lack of customer service. I had an appointment scheduled 3 weeks ago and got a call less than 24 hours from my scheduled appointment saying that they weren’t set up with my insurance and were working on getting set up.
