The Voeller Law Firm
Serving the greater San Antonio, Bexar County, Comal County, Guadalupe County, and South Texas areas, the attorneys at the Voeller Law Firm have over 70 years of experience helping families plan for their futures, protect surviving spouses, and safeguard assets for children and grandchildren. Having a comprehensive estate plan goes far beyond simply preparing for your death.

In fact, failing to properly plan for incapacity can potentially place a much greater burden on your family and loved ones. Many people don't realize there are estate planning strategies available to them that can save their families from thousands of dollars of expenses, hours of administration, and potential family conflicts down the road.
Services
A law practice limited to estate planning, elder law planning, probate and business planning. Through seminars and free initial consultations, the lawyers at the Voeller Law Firm can help area residents and businesses evaluate their legal needs and determine what their options are. Jim was exceptionally thorough in obtaining initial information from my wife and I regarding our plans for our estate.
Comprehensive estate planning covers nearly every aspect of life. It begins with protecting yourself and your personal dignity, and extends to protecting your loved ones and your hard-earned assets. Establishing an estate plan is one of the most important steps you can take to protect yourself and your loved ones in the event of death or incapacity.
Establishing an estate plan is one of the most important steps you can take to protect yourself and your loves ones in the event of your incapacity or upon your death. Proper estate planning is one of the greatest acts of love toward your family. Careful planning spares your loved ones the expense, delay and frustration associated with the failure to plan.
The average cost of nursing home care in Texas is almost $60,000 per year! On top of this, Medicare and health insurance don't cover nursing home care. There are ways to get financial assistance, but without proper legal planning in place, you will generally have to spend-down and deplete all of your hard-earned assets before you qualify for assistance.
Probate is the process where a judge validates the will, gives it legal effect, and officially appoints the executor nominated in the will. Until the will is probated and the court appoints the executor, the named executor has no legal ability to transfer assets. In the unfortunate event when someone dies without a will or estate plan in place, the job of administering the estate can be more complex.

My husband and I were referred to Voeller Law Firm by a friend. We are very pleased with the assistance we received in planning for our estate. We were able to use them as a one stop shop for our trust, wills, advanced directives, and everything else we needed to ensure our finances were secured and in order to protect each other and our children in the event of one or both of our passing. We never felt pressured to do anything we were not comfortable with and we were given great advice and explanations of legal terminology. Great experience! Thank you James and team, we appreciate you and highly

James Voeller did a tremendous job helping my husband and I with our estate planning. My husband and I aren't familiar with legal terminology, and James had to explain legal terms to us and was so patient with us.
There were additional things that we needed to do that we weren't even aware of, and he explained them well. He was clearly looking out for our, and our children's, best interests. We consider him not only our estate lawyer, but a trusted friend. We highly recommend him to anyone needing estate planning.

Estate planning is always a stressful venture! Jim Voeller was incredibly professional. He asked us the hard questions, and the even harder follow up questions on our first visit. On our return visit we signed all of our documents and walked away with a very professional binder. He is efficient, direct and extremely professional - I'd highly recommend him.

I am a Texas Licensed Real Estate Agent. I know how important it is to have my home and assets conveyed to a Family Living Trust. I have been wanting to create a Living Trust and I accomplished what I came to do. Voeller Law was responsive and professional. I highly recommend Voeller Law specifically for Living Trust.

Jim Voeller is 100% professional attorney. Thoroughly explained all at understandable level for wife and I, and has uncontestable experience. Guided us through Trust and LLC creation and earned our confidence that all was thought out as completely and correct as possible. We heard of Voeller Law from one of our banks - Randolph Brooks FCU, and felt blessed for this referral. Thank God. Highly recommend.

We needed to establish a Trust for my parents. My sister in law recommended The Voeller Law Firm to me. I am so very great full that she did. They quickly set up an appointment for us and took care of our needs.
They have a quick and painless process and explained why things are done. We received a binder with each section divided and organized so we can quickly find any legal form we may need in the future.
They also treat you with kindness and respect. I would highly recommend The Voeller Law Firm to anyone needing estate planning.

The Voeller Law Firm was recommended by our accountant. We needed to set up a trust fund as well as an LLC. We had a wonderful experience with James Voeller. He and his entire staff were welcoming and easy to talk to. We could tell right away that he wanted to do what was in our best interest. Even when we completed the work, we were able to call with questions. We highly recommend the Voeller Law Firm -- especially for folks (like us) who aren't used to working with lawyers.
