Audubon Yoga
Audubon Yoga Studio, founded and directed by Becky Lloyd, offers a friendly, safe and encouraging setting for students to learn and experience Iyengar yoga. We will continue to offer classes through Zoom until we can safely meet again in person. Let's practice together from the divine space of our own homes.

Classes are rigorous and rewarding, challenging and inspiring. Students are guided in the exploration of asana (postures) and and receive guidance in how to begin a personal home practice. The understanding of Yoga leads to a deeper understanding of our true Self. Together we strive to explore the many sacred teachings of Yoga and weave the observances into our daily lives.
Services
Audubon Yoga Studio opened in the Fall of 2000. Classes at the studio are based on the teachings of BKS Iyengar, one of the most influential and respected yogis of our time. Iyengar yoga emphasizes the alignment of the body and building strength and flexibility through precise and mindful work in the asanas (postures).

I had back problems for about one and a half years to a point where I had to drag my foot behind me to walk. That's over 100 physical therapy sessions, over 100 chiropractor visits, weekly massage, dry needling and the occasional accupunture. Nothing worked.

And it took only 1 Iyengar class to relieve my pain entirely. I couldn't believe that I didn't have any pain for a whole week and I have gained full mobility instantly just like that after one class. I mean... I thought this would only happen in movies...right?

I am not new to yoga. I practiced Kundalini and a bit of flow

Great place to learn! The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful for any level. If you have an injury, the teacher will modify positions to insure the exercise can still be felt. I recommend highly to anyone.

I moved here from San Diego a few weeks ago, and just started going to Audubon Yoga. In San Diego I went to Corepower, which is a Vinyasa style yoga, while Audubon Yoga is a Iyengar yoga studio.

Becky was my instructor for both classes that I've taken. She was very thorough throughout the class, showing how to do the pose, adjusting students as necessary, and explaining how the positions improve or alleviate pain in certain areas of the body. In just one class, I realized I had been holding a few of my poses incorrectly which could negatively impact my hips, knees, spine, and feet over time

My massage therapist recommended that I check out Audubon yoga because they specialize in Iyengar yoga. I am no yogi but my take is that this style uses lots of props (straps, blocks etc) and is really good for realignment when your body is out of wack.

From time to time, they offer free classes for newbies so I took a class last week. They were really nice and the teacher was very thorough. I like the style of yoga but it is not the workout that I'm looking for and for a kind of yoga that places so much importance on form, I thought it was odd not to have mirrors. However, if you are
