Alligator Mortgage has been owned by Richard Tillett in Gainesville, Florida since 2000. We will counsel with you to find out what your needs and goals are and provide you with the best loan option for you. We are an Independent Mortgage Brokerage Company. We work with a variety of Wholesale Lenders to get you the best rate and terms.
If self-employed, year-to-date profit and loss statement, plus signed returns for last two years. Child support or alimony payments (optional for you to disclose income, but must disclose expense). If you presently own Real Estate then we will need recent mortgage statement, insurance statement, tax bill and HOA statement.
Alligator Mortgage Company is a small business with just a few employees. Most all of our business is from referrals; some from Realtors and most from prior customers. We are not a large company where you get lost as just another loan. We end up being friends with many of our customers after the deal has closed.
After working for Target and Gateway Computers Ernie started at Alligator Mortgage in 2003. He began as our Mobile Home Specialist, but can help you with any loan situations. He also works with many first time home buyers. Lisa joined Alligator Mortgage in the fall of 2013 and primarily works out of her home office in Old Town.

I worked with Ernie English to obtain my mortgage and couldnt have been happier. I had gone with another broker at first and Ernie stepped in and got the job done after the first broker dropped the ball.
Ernie worked around the clock to beat a deadline and keep every single promise he made to me. I really admired him for not making promises he couldnt keep and if he said he would get something done by a certain date it was done. I have recommended him to many people and my real estate agent was very impressed as well. Can't say enough good things about this company and agent.
