Pets today can live longer, healthier lives than ever before-in part because of vaccines that help protect them from deadly infectious diseases. Over the years, vaccines against dangerous diseases have saved millions of pets and virtually eliminated some fatal diseases that were once common. Unfortunately, many infectious diseases still pose a significant threat to dogs and cats that are unvaccinated.
Your pet is an easy target for parasites and small insects. Common parasites like ticks, fleas and heartworm-carrying mosquitos feed on your pets, potentially infecting them with many dangerous diseases. Discover how these tiny pests can cause big problems. These bloodsucking insects feed on mammals and lay eggs in their fur.
Every year thousands of stray and unwanted animals are euthanized in shelters across the United States. Many of these deaths are the avoidable result of owners failing to spay and neuter their pets. The unexpected offspring of these liaisons often fill shelters and are never given the chance at happy, loving lives.
From the very first day you bring a new pet home through the final days of its life, nutrition plays a critical role in your pet's overall health and well-being. Many pet owners take nutrition for granted, in part because the availability of so many nutritionally complete commercial diets has taken much of the guesswork out of choosing a suitable diet for a pet.
Each year, thousands of pets go missing, and many don't make it back home. Many pets (especially indoor pets) don't wear collars or tags. Even if your pet wears a collar and identification tag, collars can break off and tags can become damaged and unreadable, so these forms of identification may not be enough to ensure your pet's safe return.

This place is all about money. I can't believe it! I just had my puppy there last month and paid almost $300 exam plus an eye drop to make him throw up. I had to pay $80 dollars just to get a spot, still I dealt with it because the vet seemed nice. Now I just called to get a price on how much it would cost to neuter our puppy and I was told basically that to get that information from the doctor I would need to pay again to reserve a spot, ate you kidding me! Not a place which has your pet's best interest in mind.

I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone I know! Not only did they miss diagnose my dog but tortured him by keeping him in the back where I was unable to be with him.. for two hour!. I made sure they were aware he is very nervous and anxious when at the vet..not sure what the obsession with me not being back there was all about but they claimed it was because he was in triage?(spelling?) all they really needed to do was a good nose to tail examination . $900 dollars later we received the diagnosis that his liver was in danger and sent us home with liver support meds. They definitely fish for

Terrible experience. We payed $1,000 and they gave us a misdiagnosis. Kept our scared dog in a back room for hours while waiting for blood work. Told us to go somewhere else for a restroom. Had to take our dog to Pet Smart to get the proper diagnosis and medication. They kept our dog in pain for 3 extra days from misdiagnosis. Refused to refund anything.

The vet and other staff seem very nice, but it's only on the surface. They are doing nothing to help the feral cat population. They advertised a free spay or neuter on their website with the purchase of an exam which is $78.44 (the Village Vet website, which now redirects to Barlow Trail. They also didn't let me know they closed the Damascus clinic and I had to reschedule the appointment for the Sandy clinic after I showed up for the appointment and saw that it was closed). They make you pre-pay for the exam when making the appointment. I asked about the neuter when I made the appointment. I was

I took my dog in there to have her nails clipped they had to give her drugs for so she would be a little bit more calm when they did her nails then they tried to charge me almost $90 to the pills why do I need 60 pills to get my dog nails clipped then they charge me $28 to have her nails clipped when it only should have been charged 18 they also credited myaccount supposedly supposed to be on my debit card and they didn't they credited an account there which they lie to me I have

Needed a refill on prescription they’ve provided for my dog. Said we had to bring her in for blood work and urine sample before refilling after discussing with receptionist for 2 days. Since I was running out of prescription next Monday today I asked for interim order surprise they got me in this afternoon. Did Blood work by technician, no urine sample my bill was $438.00 and no prescription because they don’t carry it in house any longer. It’s a mail order prescription now for $22.59. So disappointed in the vet receptionist for not being upfront about not carrying the medication

We have been taking our cats here for years and couldn't be happier with this clinic. I love how transparent they are with pricing, they always go over cost and give options beforehand, so there is never any surprise at the end of the appointment. The staff is very compassionate, and always speak kindly to the cats and pet them, and once even got down on the floor to do an exam because one of them wouldn't get back on the table! I recommend this clinic to all my friends and family in the area.

Extremely friendly! Great care and follow up from the doctors (they called daily for a few days) very happy with the treatment they gave our dog. They really care about the animals! We are grateful for them. But Kind of too expensive is the only thing, but I would take my animal there again for visits or treatment or any vet needs!
