Meet Lauren and Anthony Chillemi, florists in NY. Lauren, a Bedford-bred horticulturist, purchased the former Bedford Village Florist from long-time proprietor Maureen Laning in November of 2016 and has been busy making the place her own in recent months. Lauren redesigned the interior to reflect its new identity.
Along with new dcor, comes new "grab & go" inventory, too. Lauren studied horticulture at the New York Botanical Gardens, owned Simply Gardens, a container and vegetable garden design and maintenance service, before plunging into retail.

Lauren and Anthony are a dream team! They went above and beyond for my wedding day and the months leading up to it. Lauren is extremely talented and created the most beautiful arrangements for both my wedding ceremony and venue. My favorite creation of hers was the chandelier that dripped with greenery above my sweetheart table. I was blown away by the quality and beauty of their work! Everyone wanted to know where the flowers were from. They were spectacular!!!! The chuppa was beautiful, it was perfect. The bride’s bouquet was magnificent as were the Maid of Honor and Mother of the Bride. was such a pleasure to work with Lauren and Anthony. I recommend them to anyone planning a party or wedding.

I first met the Lauren and Anthony Chillemi during Covid through a mutual friend. And what wonderful people they are!!! After seeing their operation, shortly after I met them, I ordered a bouquet of flowers as a gift for someone close to me. I guess never having bought flowers like this before, I was literally blown away not only by the quality of flowers, but also from Lauren’s arrangement. We called upon them again for a couple more gifts for others as these flowers can last up to 2 weeks, unlike the flowers you buy at a supermarket or bodega. People really appreciate this. Lauren, Anthony and their team provided the flowers for our October wedding in New Hampshire. We can not say enough good things about the work they did for our big day. Our chats about design leading up to the wedding were so fun and stress-free. Just like our phone calls, Lauren and her assistant were so great and fun to have around in the middle of the day-of wedding hustle. They arrived from their 4+ hour drive with a van full of flowers and got to work without skipping a beat. I can't say enough wonderful things about Anthony and Lauren. They really saved my wedding and they exceeded my expectations. Two weeks before my wedding I had to fire my previous florist. I was getting married in Northern Westchester and needed to find someone close by.
