TLDR: Make sure you DOUBLE CHECK YOUR CHARGES, they might add in an extra charge as a past due amount even if you NEVER OWE THEM MONEY!!
Overall service is OK. I'm able to bring my fur child in here for normal check ups/vaccinations so I can't speak for any serious care.
What made me upset today is that I questioned why my bill was so high. Receptionist explained the charges I already knew about. I didn't realize until I got home that I was being charged $40 for some (PAST DUE AMOUNT) I supposedly never paid. BS. I am always able and willing to pay right then and there on the

THIS PLACE is horrible. I took my dog to get check out because he wasn't feeling well. The doctor said that he was "healthy". The Doctor was scared that he might have Parvo but he didn't recommend any emergency testing. Instead he told me to wait a few days and then do this extra work to get a him tested. Next day I wasn't comfortable/ I didn't trust what he told me, So took him somewhere else Long story short it turns out he was really sick and he passed away. PLEASE don't take your pet HERE!! The doctor does not care and will do the bare minimum to make

We took our puppy to this vet because all other places were booked out to get her vaccines. Our first visit went ok, but the vet did not bother to interact or try to get to know our pet before administering her first vaccine...he simply gave her the shot, did the exam, and left. The next appointment, the vet tech/receptionist there forgot that our puppy had an appointment and was about to close the place when we knocked on the door (not sure how that happens when they have an appointment book). The doctor was not even there, so the vet tech administered the second shot. I haven't seen someone who

I brought my dog in with a mass that developed in her armpit and also a routine nail trimming.
The mass was hardly inspected and recommended that x-rays be done immediately with no cost structure presented. It was a very pushy process and was left with more questions than answers. I declined the get x-rays knowing I could go get another opinion (which I did).
That left the nail trimming. I get it done all the time to my dog but because of Covid, my usual place was not open. I thought that it would be fine to have them facilitate the cutting. WHAT A MISTAKE. The vet obviously had no idea

I've come here to have my cats shots done and one cat fixed. I know everyone is scared to go to the vet office, because of the bill. I was really happy when the charges were nowhere near, what I thought they would be. The staff here has some great personalities and you can tell they enjoy their job and love animals. There is parking right in front, separate entrances for dogs and cats and the place is well-maintained, clean.

I have been coming here for two years. I can't say enough how thoughtful and kind this pet hospital is. From Ohm at the front desk to the vet who has thoroughly walked me through all of my options when deciding small things (teeth cleaning) or big things (what to do about my little guy's heart condition). You will wait past your appointment time but once it is your turn you will understand why that is. The vet takes his time, collaborates with you about all of your decisions, and gives you as much time as you need to ask every question and receive every answer you need. Bring your dog

Spruce Avenue Pet Hospital does not care about your animal or your time.
I made an appointment for July 1st at 5:30pm and I was waiting with my cat until about 6:20pm for the Dr. Initially the front desk associate was very helpful and accommodating but after getting my cat and I into the room (to buy time for the dr.) it was blatantly obvious that they don't know how to empathetically deal with nervous animals.
I was left in the small stuffy/smelly room for 30 minutes and then the dr. came and went as he pleased. They had to give my cat anesthetics because she was nervous (which I approved

Ohm is the current tech. I can’t begin to tell you how professional and caring and knowledgeable he is. After Dr Griffin passed, a lot of Drs came through and I had pretty much lost my faith but my mom who met the new current Dr and Ohm convinced me to give it one more try. I am so happy I did. This new dynamic duo ( Dr and Ohm) are amazing. Dr Griffin would be proud. Thank you to the both of you for all that you have done and continue to do for me and my family and our pets, Misty, Sadie, and Pepper!!! We are forever grateful.

Ive been bringing my two cats to this pet hospital for the past three years. It wasn't until the last trip here that I saw how great this place really was. In the past, I would just update vaccinations and get check ups for my kitties.
Recently, I had to come in because one of my kitties was in a lot of pain and I didn't know what was wrong. When I called, the vet tech, Om, was very helpful at scheduling the appointment and giving me information. Meeting the vet, Dr. Navdeep Bhakhri, was a great experience. He simply explained what was wrong with my cat and what we had to do to fix it

UPDATE: So after a couple of visits with Dr. Claxton, we no longer go to this vet office. He's terse, with a poor bedside manner, and on our last visit he wasn't even there. Our 10am appointment was rescheduled to an 11am appointment because the "doctor was stuck in traffic." When we left at 11:30am, he was still nowhere to be seen.

TLDR: I will never see Dr. Rodger Claxton again. Staff (aside from the vet) is good though.
I took my dog here several months ago, but didn't end up writing a review due to lack of time. But no problem, my experience was burned into my head so here it is..
I just got reminded today why I need to write this review. I was at another vet hospital discussing my dog's vaccination. I told them that my dog got the Leptospirosis vaccine several months ago. They asked me how many shots and I said one. Apparently, my dog was supposed to get 2 shots (the second one a few weeks after the first

Long overdue review. This is my FIRST and LAST time here!!!...I was shocked to have had such a bad experience considering a friend had referred me and all the great yelp reviews so i finally decided to check it out.
I brought in my small dog for a nail removal as she had broken it through an injury and was bleeding and in pain. Like many pet owners I was terrified about taking her to a vet because I know it can be very expensive. But I knew I had to take her because she was in pain and couldn't be like this.
Pros :I was happy I was able to get a same day appointment surprisingly not a busy

The vet our Fur baby for 30 seconds And said She needs an x-ray and blood work He said He believes that she has a dangerous poison in her uterus. Has a wait minute I'm here because she

Went in for my new pet patient visit today, May 5th. I paid $50 for the Vet MD Rodger Claxton, to be short with performing an exam or even wanting to answer the health questions and concerns I had for my pet. He was extremely rude and seemed very annoyed with caring for my pet. What really bothered me was the fact that he was speaking, said "hold on." Walked out the room and never came back. The tech came back in to further explain my pet treatment plan. As I was walked out the room, I found Rodger bragging about how he was about to go to lunch. I immediately expressed frustration to the girl behind

I brought my newly adopted dog here for some teeth extractions and a teeth cleaning. None of the other pet hospitals in the area are accepting new patients, but this one was pretty empty the two times I've been here. It is kind of hard to find, but it's definitely worth the journey.
The receptionist and other support staff were very nice; they were clearly animal lovers. Post surgery, they followed up with a call to make sure that my dog was okay (she's doing fine!). I didn't interact much with the actual vet, but he did a great job on the teeth cleaning. Also, compared to

This place is absolutely HORRIBLE now that Dr Frazier is gone. Two dogs, two completely unacceptable treatments.
Dog 1. Was so nervous, that she couldn't stop panting. When we asked for a bowl of water while waiting, we were denied! How are you a pet hospital and cannot provide a bowl of water?!?!

I've had a very hard time finding vets for my dog Loki as he was very badly abused and neglected before my boyfriend and I adopted him. This causes him to be aggressive when faced with situations he finds to be scary. But this Vet knew exactly what he was doing and knew that Loki was acting out of fear. Even though Loki had to be mussled for his procedures (for obvious reasons) this vet was very reassuring and only let out calm energy no matter how scared and unruly Loki got. Every vet we had taken Loki to prior reflected Loki's stress and made the poor dog more scared and stressed out. Loki successfully

I really like this place because my senior dog needs special attention. Daniel, Morty, and Dr. Frazier have provided excellent service towards both my dogs Bowie & Tito. Their hospital is cute, clean, and well organized. I really like the fact that Dr. Frazier provided a plan to prolong my senior dog's life rather than comfort him. I enjoy watching Daniel interact with my little Tito. She's so sweet towards all the animals that come in. I definitely trust them with my pets.

My worries were that Bran may have anxiety when we left him, but there were no traces of that whatsoever! Upon
