I took what I thought was a gold chain in to have the clasp soldered back on. I was told it would be a week and $54. Upon arrival I was told it was 14kt gold over sterling silver, they realized it when they were about to start the repair. Instead of calling me and asking if I wanted to spend that much on a repair to a silver chain to be fixed they just did it. They still charged the full gold price of $54 even though in was actually a silver repair. I never would have repaired a silver chain especially for that price.

We have been in previously and were treated great! However this time when we went in we felt like we were second class and looked down upon. The lady that greeted us didn't want to come out from behind her cash register and talked over another customer and the owner to ask us why we were there. And then when we told her why we were there she didn't want to move. She had a conversation with another salesperson to basically push her to come and help us. Not to mention the percentage from scrap prices they're paying for scrap gold is a tiny fraction of what they used to pay. My recommendation

Due to financial requirements, I was forced to sell jewelry. i was treated respectfully, my jewelry was weighed in front of me and price calculated according to the posted platinum, gold and silver prices for the day. i'd educated myself as to the current gold price. received a fair price in check form.
in researching other businesses, some were surrounded by homeless and drug addicted patrons, which made me very uncomfortable. they paid cash for gold and other valuables.

I am SO glad I stopped in! Thanks to Molly I have had several rings reworked and 4 rings custom made by them. I have always gotten stellar customer service, they have never made me feel rushed, and they have gone above and beyond finding a stone to fit in an inherited ring that I have passed on to my daughter. I had a custom signet ring made for my husband that he is proud to know will eventually hand down to our oldest son. The signet ring was a complete custom job because I didn't want a cookie cutter design and between Molly and the jeweler they covered every detail down to a brushed finish

I hate it when Jewelers think they can use other people's designed especially when the company they copy a ring which 100% made in California

ABSOLUTE RIP OFF!!! Do Not sell gold to this establishment...they are as shady as it gets. They explain nothing to the customer. They won't even weigh your gold in front of you and they offer the lowest rate possible. Make sure you understand the fair market value of your scraps before walking in the door. Weigh your piece(s) before you go and call around to compare prices. To make the experience worse they are incredibly unprofessional and talk to you like you're an uneducated chimp that should be eternally grateful port the pennies they offer. Take the extra few minutes and drive down

Horrible experience, RUN don't walk as far from this business as quick as you can! I went in with a US Liberty 22 Carat 1oz gold coin, I asked for a sell quote, they quoted me $639.00, the published gold price online was $1,228. Needless to say I left. I went 5 minutes down Meridian and did the same thing, I left there with $1,239 dollars that is a net difference in my pocket of $600. Does that sound fair? This business was going to rip me off! Where is the integrity? They are getting rich, on the backs of the working class, widows, and less knowledgeable individuals! SHAME ON YOU GOLD DEFINITIONS

I have never used a jeweler other than our "family" jeweler before, so I was very apprehensive taking my wedding ring to a "stranger" but after meeting Lisa (the owner) and her wonderful staff, my anxiety disappeared!
She addressed every question and concern I had. She said she would do the repair herself and explained exactly what would be done, step by step. And when my husband expressed his concerns about the "safety" of my diamond, she offered us to look through a loop to be sure I knew what my diamond looked before she did any work and then we could examine

I have bought many items from this business as well had many items repaired. I cannot say enough good things about this business from the way a person is treated and the expertise of the staff. They are always willing to help with a purchase without being pushy and help with your jewelry repair. "Looky loos" are encouraged as you never know when you will see that special gift for somebody or just for yourself. Suggestions are kindly given for a new jewelry design to turn a special piece into something even more special. The atmosphere is warm and inviting as well as the staff, not

Not so good!! I had went there with a group of broken gold chains that my mother had handed down to me. I was told they were 14 carat gold. Gold definitions told me some of them were only 10 carat gold and gave me a price of $235.00 for the group. I wanted to get another opinion so I went to a coin shop up on south hill and they quoted me over $400.00. So since there was such a large difference I checked two more places on the hill and none of them were as much as the coin shop. So I sold mine at the coin shop. The only issue I have with Gold definitions is that their advertisement makes it sound

I would give ten stars if I could. I would recommend this jewerly store to anyone for any jewerly need. The prices are excellent and the customer service is unbelievable. I recently had my wedding ring resized at Gold Definitions. The owner told me it would be about 3-4 weeks to finish it. I was disappointed it would take so long, but much to my surprise Gold Definitions called a week later saying my ring was ready! Unfortunantly it still didn't fit quite right. The owner called today to tell me she would take care of it personally and assured me it would be perfect today- even if it meant

Don't forget the Golden Rule!! Customer Service!!! This place shows that it's still survives in this heltic modern world. It didn't feel like a Gold Rush, and it didn't feel like being in a Golden Sh*wer. THANK GOD!!! Lol. So heading here was a blessing, as my girlfriend had problems fixing the prongs on her ring. There was twelve that need to be done, and they all had diamonds. At first, we were going to head to Fred Meyers, but we end up here looking for somebody dependable and nothing too expensive that will burn the wallet. So we went to South Hill and saw this place near
