Our Manhattan eye doctor at Broadway Vision, Dr. Charles Gold, earned his degree from the University of California Berkley School of Optometry. Since 1986, he has been providing eye care to patients using the latest technology available in the optometry field. Dedicated to providing eye care to everyone, he created the non-profit organization of Light for the Eyes to uninsured NYC residents and in developing nations.

Dr. Gold's dedication to better serve his patient population, along with his commitment to community health care, led to the creation of Light for the Eyes/Luz para los Ojos, a non-profit organization that provides free eye care, surgery and prescription eyeglasses to uninsured residents in New York City and in developing countries.

Dr. Charles Gold with Julio Batista started a Non-Profit called Luz Para Los Ojos, Light For Your Eyes, to help the local population in Washington Heights, Dominican Republic and other places around the world. Dr. Charles Gold has been an active participant in the Washington Heights Community for over 25 years.

Broadway Vision was so helpful!! I ran out of contacts unexpectedly while working at Columbia: For those who have poor vision, you know how stressful this predicament can be. I called to see if they would be able to help me; all I can say is they went above and beyond. Speaking to Stephanie on the phone—who was extremely helpful, friendly, and professional— she was able to help me purchase contacts. By the time I walked in, she had them ready to go. The office is clean, organized, and all staff friendly. I had such a good experience and can’t recommend them enough.

Dr. Gold is always a pleasure. He is caring, informative, and thorough. My mother and my daughter are also patients and they are very comfortable with him. The staff is courteous and professional. I have been a patient for many years and although he is four hours away from where I live, I don't want to change doctors. These days is difficult to find a good doctor, but Dr. Gold is a 10+!

Dr. Gold and his staff at Broadway Vision deserve the high praise reflected in these reviews! I've been going there for at least five years now, and I always enjoy my experience. They're a busy place, but you don't wait a long time, the staff are welcoming and diligent, and Dr. Gold is efficient, smart, and gives good advice. He's also fun to talk with! Dr. Gold is awesome! He’s super nice and patient, and all the staff seem to enjoy working there. He helped me get the right prescription and gave me options to test for my eyes. I am totally content to return here for eye care. They take my insurance and they know all sorts of options for contacts and glasses. Easy walk-in service, but go early in case they are busy.
