Dr. Jean Pritchard, DVM opened Fort Thomas Animal Hospital in 1990. She is known by her clients and community as a compassionate and highly respected Veterinarian. A Highlands Bluebird alum, Dr. Jean studied at the University of Kentucky and graduated with her DVM from The Ohio State University. She currently resides on a ranch in Ross, KY where her veterinary skills come in handy tending to her dogs, cats, cows, and horses.

Critical: Professionalism, Responsiveness
The doctors are amazing. The customer service is sad. They have do not enter signs posted on the door and outside. When you call for 15 minutes to pick up a prescription they do not answer because only one person is answering phones. When Stephanie decides to call back 10 minutes later she’s rude and unprofessional.

My husband and I found this place when we lived in Cincinnati and it became the primary vet for our dog. After moving away, we learned that he needed dental surgery and was recommended to go to MedVet. After calling different animal hospitals for second opinions and pricing estimates, I decided to drive down and bring him back here, and I’m so glad I did. Dr. Turner is wonderful and he’s always taken good care of us and our dog. Even though we now live an hour away, we will continue to come back to Ft. Thomas Animal Hospital!

My cat has been sick for 2 months now. She has been on 4 different medications they are “trying” because they can’t diagnose what’s wrong. My cat gets beyond stressed taking medicine and nothing has helped. Now she is starting to not use the litter box since she has been on this latest medicine. They seem clueless

This is the only vet I’ll ever see. They earned my loyalty when my dog was hit by a semi. The emergency vet charged $1500 to provide fluids or pay $250 to put her down. I brought Bonnie here, they kept her for a week with her jaw wired shut, removed teeth from her gums, fed her, and brought her back to 100% health for little more than the cost the other place offered to put her down. Dr Pritchard hilda a special place in my heart and this place will always be my #1 recommendation for anyone searching for THE BEST vet!

Before you give a pet vaccines you should check with the owner and get confirmation instead of just doing it.
When I called to schedule an appointment last week I said I would like his paws and ears looked at because I was worried he was having an allergic reaction to something. The tech said that would be fine to bring him in Tuesday. When I… brought him in, I was asked where I got him so they could look up a history. Under the impression I'm here for allergies, I tell them and then am told I can head back out to my car and they'll call when he's done. About an hour later I get a call saying

I had an appointment at 5:30, showed up at 5:20. My dog is anxious at the vet, so he was sitting at my feet shaking. Sat for over 45 minutes, when I asked when I was expected to be seen at about 6:15, they told me they didn’t know. Dr. Turner came out, they asked if they could put my dog in quickly for just a checkup and a nail trim, & he just looked at me & said “no”. Wouldn’t suggest this hospital to anyone.
