Murray HVAC
Murray HVAC started in business in 1948 as Murray Oil Co. The company was originally an oil delivery company and delivered oil to homes on the North Shore. Dick Murray was the owner of the company. He realized that he was losing customers when they had a service problem because he did not have a service department.

He talked to Harold Brainerd who was the service manager for Braun Brothers Oil (the largest oil delivery company on the North Shore) about becoming a partner. Harold agreed and Murray Heating Service was born. Murray Heating serviced and installed heating systems and some of the first air conditioning systems on the North Shore.

Took a lot of time to walk me through the problem with my furnace before making the appointment. You just can't find service like this anymore. Definitely coming back.

Murray HVAC has been timely, responsive, professional, and super informative. They have never tried to sell us on something we didn’t need. They know our house better than we do since they have served previous owners, which gives me confidence when dealing with a 100-yr old house. When our furnace went out, they came out quickly on a weekend to check it out and had a new furnace in within no time!

I am part of Murray's annual maintenance program where you pay one flat fee and they come out twice a year to perform maintenance on A/C and heating systems. The value is amazing, and the program gives you a discount on any parts you may end up needing to replace when they inspect the system.

Everyone I have worked with is friendly and has worked at the company for years - they all remember me (and my dogs!), they don't track dirt in the house, they wear masks, they're honest and upfront about what you do and don't need to fix, they are always offering ways to save money,

Murray installed not only a new furnace but also a new air conditioner. It took 2 guys 3 days to do the job since we have a very cramped space. They came on time, they were exceptionally tidy, and everything went without a hitch. There were no hidden charges. We've lived in this house for 40+ years, and we use Murray exclusively. Feel confident they will do the job.

We called up Murray HVAC a couple days ago for a second opinion after our furnace wouldn't kick on. Apart from our estimate being lower, the experience with their technician was night and day. The first guy walked in and just told us we needed to replace everything, he gave us his price, and left after charging us a hefty service call fee. With Murray, their tech, Cory, came out and walked us through the diagnostic process. He explained all of our options and seemed more like a concerned neighbor helping out, rather than a pushy salesman. After all was said and done, we couldn't be happier, he

Terrific service. Honest and efficient. My AC was out, the fan ran in the condenser but the compressor never turned on. A much more common issue than I thought. I was pleased with the way they quickly explained what they were doing. They replaced only what needed repairing and I wasn't up-sold on maintenance or new parts that weren't needed. They came, they diagnosed, they fixed! Final cost was much cheaper than I thought I was going to pay. Very happy that the guys were respectful of my wife's garden (where the condenser sits). Highly recommend for the friendliness, their efficiency

The guys from Murray HVAC were just here for a furnace check. I have had this pair of guys, Mike and LJ , before. They are unbelievably thorough and helpful. They explained things clearly and showed me what to look for over the winter season. They were pleasant, punctual and polite. Plus, they loved my dogs. I couldn't be happier with this service.

Finally tried Murray Heating after hearing about them from a number of different people. They've been around forever and the current owner is the son of the guy who started the business back in the 40's. Cool! The technician they sent knew all about my Nest thermostat-no other company I have used knew anything about it. Cool, again! Anyway, the technician cleaned the heck out of my air conditioner, made a few welcome suggestions about my stupid furnace filter (I can never change it without shredding it to bits! Arrrgh!) He wore shoe cover booties in my house, arrived on time, and was

Avoid this place at all costs. We have a Murray installed Carrier furnace (8 yrs old). We have had them out for service calls 3-4 times. We were always suspicious that our run of the mill unit that they sold us usually required "special parts" and multiple visits to repair, but paid anyway. Our blower motor went out Sat night, so we foolishly called them again. After an hour or so, the technician declared that we needed a "special motor" that he did not have and that he would have to make a special trip to the warehouse to get it (for an extra $100). The warehouse did not open
