This is the response I received when I messaged John on AIRBnB if he would be willing to negotiate the price of one of his homes when I was going to be booking a 7 night/ 8 day rental for the following day. This was also mid COVID-19 so I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask.... as there were so many houses available on the market..... this was John's response:
"Sounds like you need to stay at a motel 6 heard they have great deals. Small rooms and the pools are closed."
After he sent that, I came back and said he had made a good point, and that we would pay his full price. He
