The MGMT team is often unprofessional and do not take constructive criticism well. The tenured MGMT team can be rude passing along this attitude to younger MGMT that lack knowledge and experience. Certain front desk EE's do not convey welcome. The building is not cozy, it is stagnant and not lively. Items stolen from rooms, including money and jewelry, but it is always the residents fault as MGMT cast doubt. Many times caregivers are on their cell phones at their station without a sense of urgency to residents. Review your options prior to committing as they are plentiful.

Rhoda Goldman is a lively, clean, airy, pleasant place. My daughter and I are always happy to visit my father there. He is often busy at one of the lectures or concerts but we track him down to eat lunch in the dining room or cafe. We particularly like the Sunday brunches which include champagne, homemade baked goods, and yummy desserts. My father's friends also visit often since it's a pleasure to be there, not a chore.
As far as care goes, the staff always contact me if my Dad has even a minor problem so I feel confident he's being looked after which is a huge load off my mind.

My mother has resided at RGP for nearly a year, and she has been very happy and felt very secure. She is getting great care. The staff is very attentive and kind. The apartment is quite attractive and comfortable and suits her to a T. We chose Rhoda Goldman Plaza after a thorough search of memory care and assisted living residences throughout San Francisco. RGP was the clear standout and has continued to earn our confidence.

This is a wonderful assisted living facility in San Francisco. All of the employees, from management to care givers are lovely, compassionate and gentle towards the residents. The apartments are spacious and cheerful. There are lots of daily activities including movies, lectures, exercise classes and crafts. Residents can choose between a more formalized dining room or a more casual cafe for every meal.

My parents have been extremely happy at RGP. The staff is very attentive. The premises are cheerful. There are lots of activities for all tastes. My mother has taken up painting and is part of a creative writing group. We’ve joined them for a number of meals and the staff know the residents and their dietary preferences. I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for assisted living.

My Aunt has been living at Rhoda Goldman since 2011. She is now 92 years old. She has been well taken care of and thriving ever since she moved in. She has developed many friendships and I am always amazed at the array of services and activities available at Rhoda Goldman. Even though she only takes part in a few of the many activities that are made available, she thrives on the mental stimulation and the engagement with others. The food is really tasty and nutritious! The facility is always clean and the environment is filled with art. Staff has always been ready and willing to help with any concerns

My mother has been living at Rhoda Goldman for many years. Over the last few years, she has become bed ridden - she is unable to get out of bed. The care and love for my mother by the staff has been extraordinary. She is happy and healthy. She has developed no bed sores because of diligent care from the staff. I rate this a 5 star facility.

My Aunt has been at Rhoda Goldman Plaza for 61/2 years now. I live out of town so I am extremely grateful to the staff for always notifying me of any problems. There was a change in Executive Directors a few years back and you can feel that in the staff. They really care and work with the family to help in anyway they can. My Aunt now lives in the Terrace in a beautiful apartment and I am equally pleased with the staff on that floor. This is a wonderful facility.

I couldn't be happier! My mother is comfortable and secure. My brother and I helped her recreate her own home in the apartment she selected, so that it still has the airy, clean, and enjoyable atmosphere. The food is good and there are so-many-options!
The staff is what makes RGPlaza the best assisted living I have seen.
PSI call it "The Notorious RGP"

So many memories, so many wonderful things to say... I wish I had photos and more visible ways to describe my appreciation for this facility. I worked here for a short time during college 2002-03 and it was wonderful; obviously giving a review this many years later may be an outlier but I truly loved how well the guests were treated and to this day… hope I can end up in a retirement community similar to this. I called Bingo, answered phones, fixed computers, made friends and met holocaust survivors (life changing) and most importantly have the most amazing memories I still remember today

Absolutely fantastic facility. The staff really cares about the residents and actively works to make sure everyone is as happy and healthy as possible. I also love the guest rooms they have available for when you're visiting, the last thing anyone wants when visiting family out of town is to have to find a hotel that's miles away and schlep back and forth. 5 stars!

Do not send your loved one here! The staff is very rude, the administration is very unprofessional, and non receptive to contructive critism. Non of the manangers take responsbility for their actions, willing make excuses for each other. I feel sorry for the people that work here, dealing with poor manangement. The executive director is very unprofessional, instead listening to my complaint he talked over me proceeded to be condecending, i could tell he was aggitated. I feel like there is a way to handle a situation instead of getting angry because someone doesn't agree with the way bussiness

My mother, Margie Grayson, was moved to RGP after a sudden illness left us unable to care for her in our home, where she'd been living for about 10 years. She has mild to moderate dementia but was definitely getting worse and we could see that we would soon be unable to care for her at home. She had loved being with us, is averse to recognizing the degree of her deficits, and has hated the facts of her aging in general. In a way it was easier that her illness made it clear to us that there was no choice. We could not have found a better place for her. Her apartment is sunny and cheerful, a

This place is fantastic. The facility, program, daily services and care is first rate, and the compassion even better. The food is extraordinary, served cheerfully in a light and airy dining room that feels like a fine, but casual restaurant. This changed my parent's lives from lonely and difficult, despite their prior lovely location and amenities, to full of available activities and constant social interaction. It is a community, of which I also feel a part.
After several years in the regular units, my father moved to the dementia unit. A hard move for the family, but the right move

I occasionally visit some of my old clients that live here. I can honestly say they are well taken care of by good caring professionals, most of the staff here are helpful, and know what they're doing.
With that said, my only gripe is the 4th floor manager/director (I dont really know what she does, all i know is the other staff tells me shes not the boss, but she acts way too bossy) The 4th floor is the dementia unit and this lady really goes out of her way to make me feel unwanted every time I visit.
My run ins with her include me sitting in her office while she makes me wait until I

Our mom Rhoda Weiss lived at Rhoda Goldman Plaza for three years, two and a half in assisted living and about six months in their dementia unit. We felt certain she was in safe hands and that gave our family a great deal of peace of mind. Staff were almost always on top of problems that arose. The building is immaculate. The location in lower Pacific Heights and the Jewish atmosphere are special.
However, beginning with RGP's decision to move our mom to its dementia unit, The Terrace, our feelings of appreciation began to erode. We felt that they rushed that process and that by rushing it

What's better than smelly old people?
Old people that don't smell! (ZING!)
So my grandma lives here. She pays quite a bit for a little studio but the amenities of Rhoda Goldman are vast. Three pretty good meals a day, I've sampled a few. Daily activities, movies, classes and even an old guy who comes a few times a month to play old Jewish sounding folk songs on the accordion! And by some means of high magic, this place has no old people odor! You know that mothball smell that permanently affixes itself to you once you reach the age of 65.
The Sunday brunch here is damn good for
