My name is Dr. Santhi Periasamy and I am a licensed psychologist located in Houston, Texas. I am trained as a doctoral-level counseling psychologist, and my specializations include working with eating issues, relationship challenges, family issues, PTSD/trauma, and multicultural issues. Dr. Santhi Periasamy is a licensed psychologist (License # 33429) in private practice located in Houston, Texas. Dr. Periasamy also works at Texas Woman's University's Counseling Center at the Houston Campus.
Therapy is a process of meeting with a licensed professional in order to facilitate growth and healing through the resolution of traumatic issues from our past as well as feelings, behaviors, and beliefs that are currently affecting our day to day functioning. Therapy also works to move an individual towards understanding their self in relation to others as well as increasing positive behaviors, actions and feelings.
Our initial contact will begin with a free 5 minute phone consultation about your needs. This will give us a chance to talk about the problems that bring you to therapy and ensure that I am prepared to meet your needs. At the initial visit, we will have an opportunity to discuss your present concerns and get to know each other.
The building has an entrance on Stuart Street and an entrance on Louisiana Street. The entrance doors are locked during off-peak hours. Please contact me at 713-942.7793 if you are unable to enter the building, and I will meet you at the entrance. Free street parking is available along Louisiana street after 9 AM.
The fee for the initial intake appointment is $165.00. The fee for individual therapy is $165.00 for a 50 minute session and payment must be rendered at the end of each session. The fee for an 80 minute individual counseling session is $285.00.
I offer limited sliding scale options for graduate and undergraduate students and new professionals (employed within the past three months), and the individual will be required to demonstrate significant financial need with supporting documentation (i.e.W-2 forms, payment stub, and/or student verification identification.
