Services
Edward Richard "Dick" Boylan founded his business in 1958 with the purchase of a simple home at 188 Easton Avenue in his hometown of New Brunswick, NJ. In only a few years after this initial purchase, Mr. Boylan relocated the original building to a new location and built a larger, brick funeral home on the site of 188 Easton Avenue.
Our homes offer a warm and inviting atmosphere that we hope will serve as some comfort during this time of loss of a loved one. Located on Easton Avenue in the heart of New Brunswick, our funeral home is only blocks away from Robert Wood Johnson and Saint Peter's Hospitals as well as Rutgers University.
Family and friends getting together to honor a loved one's life is one of the most important steps in the grieving and healing process. You may opt to have a traditional religious or military service, or as more and more people are doing, you can choose to have a non-traditional 'life celebration'.
No matter if a death is sudden, or if it something that was a long time coming, the loss of a loved one makes us feel emotional and overwhelmed. No amount of preparation can fully prepare you for the loss of a loved one. When you are in a heightened emotional state, even the most basic decisions can seem staggering.
Traditionally, a burial service involves a visitation, followed by a funeral service in a church, or other place of worship. The casket is typically present at both these events, and it is your decision on whether to have the casket open or not. You have the option of having the remains interred (earth burial), or it may be entombed in a crypt inside a mausoleum (above ground burial).

The New Brunswick Boylan Funeral Home is incompetent and lies to their clients. Our daughter passed away out of state and we were lied to by staff saying we couldn't go to the airport to see our child coming home because of covid. I called Delta Cargo and was told there were no covid restrictions the funeral home had to set it up. So we were denied greeting our child home. Then we had to call them to make sure they received our daughter. They did not contact us like we were told. They also put the wrong date on the obituary. I'd go elsewhere.

My husband used them years ago and had no
