We understand the special role your pet plays in your family and are dedicated to becoming your partner in your pet's health care. We treat your pet as we would our own. Our goal is to practice the highest quality medicine and surgery with compassion and an emphasis on client education. Each of our Putnam veterinarians is committed to providing personal attention to the unique concerns of each individual pet owner.
This new program includes wellness plans for cats and dogs of all ages. Our pets age much faster than we do, making it all that much more important that every year is a great year. We have designed our Paws4Wellness program to include key examinations, vaccinations and the most comprehensive preventive care and early disease detection.
We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, CareCredit, and cash. We will do our best to provide you with accurate and up to date estimates for expenses and discuss all options for care prior to performing any procedures or treatments.

Animal Hospital of Putnam provides boarding to the public for dogs, cats, birds, and small mammals. All boarders receive personal attention from our caring staff. For our clients, we offer medical boarding for animals who need medications/injections. We also provide the option to have your pet's medical needs attended to while boarding, including annual examinations, vaccines, and more.

My wife and I are rescuing a lab/mix... She reached out to explain we are rescuing, looking to request a new patient application and if AHP could be our reference. Being new to the area and needed a local vet reference for our application. We figured we would call our closest vet; however, the woman on the phone REFUSED to offer help. Most phone calls do not end with my wife (a customer service rep) sobbing. But this one did! Thanks 'Karen'... FYI, we called SEVERAL local vets afterwards, they where shocked my wife was treated this way as our situation is standard routine... FOUND A CARING, RESPECTABLE

Buddy has had a bad experience with another vet hospital and was very apprehensive. Kristen and her Tech were incredible, the gentle and calm approach with Buddy made him come out of his carrier on his own. Buddy's prognosis was not was I was hoping for, however Kristen was professional and sensitive on explaining what we could actually do. I will not hesitate on taking my other family members to this hospital for care. You all not only put Buddy at ease during his visit but also put me at ease Thank You.

My family have been going here with all of our pets. They have been here for the ups and downs in our past experiences.We have had 6 pets visit here, and they all love it. All staff workers are so nice, and the cats and dogs love leaving with a treat. We are glad we had this Animal Hospital do the honors of putting down our dog.
